What color is the blinker bulb? Clear or Amber?

Anyone!

For the cornering lights...someone gave me the 1156 number when it should be 3156. My question is now, I have PIAA Extreme Whites in the 1156 part number. Can I use these for my blinkers? Or do I have to use an amber bulb? I assume I can use these since the blinker plastic is amber. Is the stock bulb just a regular clear bulb? Thanks ahead of time....

No Jimbo, the lens for the blinker is clear, the bulb is a 1157 and it is OEM amber. I put a chrome coated amber bulb in its place. The Cornering lights are 3156. Put the PIAA's in your blinkers, it would look cool.

You sure Maxx? Cause I can see the whole lens as orange when no lights are on...Confused on this. Anyhow...anyone want to buy brand new 1156 PIAA Extreme Whites?

Jimbo

EDIT: Never mind...I took my portable light and really shined it and looked at it. Your right Maxx...it was probably the light coming through when it was off that makes it kinda look like a tinted lens. Thanks.

Does anyone know if I can use the 1156/7 anywhere else on the car?

Anyone...for the cornering bulb...I know it says 3156...but will a 3157 work? What is the difference? I'm looking at the bulb at:

you only see orange b/c light enters the lens and reflects off the amber bulb. I replaced my bulbs, they are ORANGE. lens is clear.

how do you think some have white blinkers? they surely did not change the lens.

look in your manual for bulb #'s. if you're somehow unable to get to your golvebox, I even posted it in the Sticky. there is also a STICKY just for the bulbs

Yeah I read on one of these bulb sites, dont know which one, that a 3157 bulb will fit in a 3156 socket, but not vice versa. We got the 3156, so either one I guess. Has anyone put in a 3157 and it worked though? If it definately does Ill just pick up some blue ones at autozone.
