I am compelled to let you know that I do not appreciate your attempt at humor, and frankly am offended. It is not OK and it is not funny to make fun of others in this manner. Differences should be respected.
There are probably people in your life who you may not know are gay or lesbian and they have accepted you on your terms. Please consider accepting others on their terms too.
Everyone has value and has a contribution to make. I hope that all of us present attitudes toward others that embrace the value of others and welcome not only their contributions but who they are and how they identify themselves.
