It's done :)

Got the max back today (fender damage) .. mentioned before since it was in the shop, had them paint the black lip trim... thanks to KC and the others that decided to do this to their's, all the inspiration I needed

Caliber Collision in Lewisville, TX did a great job on the repairs and paint.

Does anyone have a guestimate on how much it might cost to have that lower part of the bumper painted? Just curious because it looks great painted the same as the body.

The total (less the trim) was 1,560 I believe... his insurance covered it.

Atleast you took something negative and turned it into a positive with the much better looking front end now.

Thanks! It sucks that it happened, but hey, while they had the paint missed-up.. ya know?

Just got to look at it under lights, frankly I'm amazed (and relieved) they matched the paint so well. They do need to readjust the panel (new fender) a little (hood sits higher on the "bad side", but they have agreed to do so.

Overall, I'm happy with the work. Now off to Tweeter for the Viper install and sub...

I have 2 12" subs and a box that cost me $600 + a $600 viper amp. Took it out of the old ride with the intent to sell...till I saw how terrible the resale is on this stuff....The subs have less than one month on them...been sittin in my house for almost 2 years now. If you wire this stuff into the stock system does it sound as good as with an aftermarket head and speakers? Im afraid the soundstage would be awful.

Nismo, I think thats why 04BlackMax replied the way he did.

I too have a system from my previous car, I'm so eager to install it in my max too.

in case there is any confusion.. the Viper I mentioned is the security system ( http://www.drdetailshop.com/V791XV.htm )

Undecided on the sub at this point. Not looking for ground shaking stuff, rather "accurate" bottom end with a little punch, beyond the Bose. Almost tempted to go with just a basslink.

Car looks very nice!!! Looks like body shop made a great job. I always liked white with that lower valence on same color and the billet grille. Now, it's just a matter of putting in some nice 18" or 20" crome wheels....
