Bye Bye Maxima

Bye Bye leaky sky roof, bye bye hanging tail pipe, bye bye shimmy, bye bye heat on feet, bye bye maxima.

I've decided to get ride of my maxima. Not really for the flaws I mentioned but because of my divorce. She (the max) used to be my pampered weekend cruiser. I always kept her fully detailed and parked in the garage when I wasn't driving her around. Because of my situation, I have gave up my other car to the ex, and the maxima has become my daily driver. Maxi has become quite expensive and time consuming. Gas is killing me (about $60.00 a week), I have to wash her twice a week in order to keep her clean (onyx color). My new rental place has no garage so I'm worried my max might get stolen one day.

I now am driving a 04 civic coupe and I really miss the comfort of the maxima. I find myself trying to adjust the volume from the steering wheel a lot. Just the over all better look and feel of the interior, man I'm going to miss it. The power difference, well I won't get into but I'm sure you could imagine what that's like.
Damn! I'm going to miss my max. I'll be looking into them again in about 5 years. Who nows, maybe even own one again.
Later guys & girls

sorry to hear about getting rid of the max. I hear you on the garage thing. I'm selling my house and getting an apt. I hate leaving it out there. Biggest concern is dings etc from the other cheap bastards in the lot. I can't see how you can go from a maxima to a civic though....I'd be goin nuts. Good luck with everything though

Man, you can always replace a Wife, but your Max for a Civic, this has all the making of a sad movie...

After 22 years marrage,
It's just cheaper to keep her...

Actually, sorry about your two breakups...

Sorry to hear about both of your losses. I am going through the divorce thing also and it is no fun. Fortunately I was able to keep my ride but lost the house. I hope things will look up for you soon.

You may find yourself going nuts too moving from a house to an apartment. Good luck!

Forget getting rid of the Max, buy a car cover to protect it against the elements and forget getting an apartment, I'd rather sleep in my Max with its heated seats to keep me warm at night. Keeping it will help you find that new, special woman in your life; its hard to impress women with a Civic. Unless you can appeal to their sensible side with the Civic's MPG.

Seriously though, sorry to hear about the divorce, it rough on all those involved. Good luck.

Yeah, I know but who cares it just a civic. You know what I mean.

By the way thank you all for the kind words. The civic is just temporary till I get back on my feet. I pretty much walked away from everything for my kids sake. Plus child support is draining me like a mother (1800 a month). Like I said, 5 years from now and I'll see what the Max has to offer. I really do see myself in another one.

Im sad to hear it, thats a real nice looking max. But, think of the bright side, in five years you'll be hopefully looking at a brand new 7th gen (hopefully lacking the "querks" of the 6th). Good luck with everything.
