if you disconnect the stock audio to use an aftermarket head unit, i think you're not going to be able to use the audio feature of the navigation, unless you somehow can figure out where the audio out from the navigation could plug into your stereo input as an auxilary channel. but then you wont be able to hear the navigation OVER your stereo, you'd have to listen to that OR the stereo...

Just use a Y-harness and "splice" the two channels together into one so that it goes into the main channel of the head unit.

Ok. My mistake. I misunderstood you. What you could try if you have an amplifier is what I was trying to say above. I'm confusing both of us. Just click the link. http://members.***.net/headbrainface/wiringstuffs.jpg You won't be able to adjust the navigation volume though that might suck if you have a HUGE amp. LOL

I'm interested in putting two 12" sub in a custom fiberglass enclosure. A lot of you guys are going to say I'm crazy for this one but I want to continue to use the stock radio. The reason is so that I can still use a lot of the features of the stock system without forking out a thousand dollors for a head unit. My question is does the factory radio have RCA connections for a amp?

Those of you who are running amps, how did you connect it?

You mean like this, no NAV though.
I guess for the 1st time I'm glad I have no NAV!!!
There are people that have done this w/NAV, search CarDomain.

Does the stock radio have RCA connection on it to hook up an amp?
