Sirius display / channel change ?

I have EO Sirius in my car. I know that if I want to find out what song I am listening to I push the tuning ****. If I want to change to a station that is not in my presets I have to get the unit out of "song" display mode. So I have to push the **** through bass, treble, fader, etc until you get to the "standard" display to change the station. Seems stupid that you have to push so many times. Is this normal?

If its the way it came from the factory, then its always going to be the longest, most illogical way to do something. Aftermarket is always going to be better, but you'd think they could figure out something this simple with the factory setup... I mean Im sure they put the car through focus groups and testing before it's unveiled, I really hope someone would have mentioned that... but I dont know whats worse, someone not noticing that during testing or someone saying something and the Nissan folks just dismissed it. The artist and title display should be the default display, as well as auto scrolling (only if the text exceeds the display length).

WHy do you have to go thru all those pushes to change the channel? Haven't you noticed the TUNE toggle switch? It's right under the SEARCH toggle switch....

Use the seek button to switch the catagories (pop to rock ect) and the scan button to switch the channels numericaly ( from channel 1 to 2 to 3 ect). This system works flawlessly. You should not have to scan through any of the display screen funtions.

use the same buttons you would use for track skip for CDs. I ony use the Tune **** if I want to all the info at once like you said and to scroll for the entire title.

Top button:
I< seek >I for genre--- HIP HOP... R&B... COUNTRY... etc.

Bottom button:
I<< tune >>I channels--- 40, 42, 45, etc.
