Problems With My Se 04

my car has about 14k on it, and in this past month a tire slit right off while i was driving with my baby in the car. This is the second time this has happened. I took into the dealer(along with my trunk not closing, my seatbelt not working, my shocks, struts and my sunroof leaking), he of course said it was possibly a nail. I'm freakin pissed. I love the car and all, but not enough if it becomes dangerous to have my baby in it or any other cars near me. Goodyear is not taking responsibility for it, and Nissan refuses to terminate my lease...is there anything i can do?

Look in the Sticky to answer a few of your questions. What do you mean "tire slit right off"? The RSAs have an issue covered in that Sticky. If you want out of the Lease all I know is to get a lawyer. Call Nissan and Goodyear about your problems.

Many do not not the dealer is not Nissan. And just like Nissan, you can get more problems solved through calling Goodyear.

crazi - The power sunroofs are not supposed to be watertight. That is why Nissan has a drainage system to funnel sunroof leakage down two tubes; one in each 'A' pillar.

Most dealers are not very good at researching leaks. Few will spend much time on this. You really need to go to the sticky about sunroof leaks and follow the procedure. Then you should be able to tell the dealer where the problem is. It is probably a blockage in one of the drain tubes.

My Kid!!!!???

God forbid a tire pop or come off 2x while i'm driving with my kid in the car. I wouldn't even go straight home, i'd be at my wifes office filing papers for a lawsuit against everyone. Good to know you and your kid are safe. Good luck with getting your issues taken care of.

i called consumer affairs, they agreed, but couldnt do anything about it, they told me to call nissan finance and tell them that they agreed to terminate my lease...."you can stop paying your payments or CA can take over your payments, if you decide to stop paying, your credit gets ruined" that is what a supervisor said.

man...i got 4 brand new tires from goodyear at about 10k is complained, wrote, them a letter, wrote nissan and the dealer a letter...and had 4 brrand new ones put on by doscount ite...and they even gave me the certificates with the tires...which means if they are beyond repair(pothole or something) i get brand new ones for free, have already used that twice...so basically 6 new tires for nothin.......i would complain, but you have to be articulate in your letters.

I was going to start another thread but it would have been titled the same way so I figured I would add my list of what are the common and reoccuring problems with my 04 SE. They have each been addressed on more than one occassion by the dealer and always "reappear". Anyone else have similar issues?
The headliner by the rear of the sliding sunroof opening will not stay up. The brakes squeal horribly whjen applied in reverse. Terrible stank from catalytic converter every time I punch it. shimmy felt in steering wheel every time brakes are applied. Driver's door handle on outside of door sticks open all the time and finally, there is always a lag in the trannny every time I accelerate.

I have 14K miles and wonder if I have a Monday car or there are others with these issues. thanks

Hell with them all. Get a lawyer and sue their asses. If they were RSA tires Goodyear has to replace them, I had my changed twice till I had them put on F1's. Nissan has to fix them other problems. I am happy to here that everyone is OK. Good luck Warren

What ramberg said... lawyer and file a complaint with the NHTB.

Happens once, shame on them, happens twice, shame on you...

Hello...new to the sight here and can't post my own thread so I would like to ask a couple ?? here...my 04 SE has 30K miles on it and only a couple problems...

first, both front doors stick repeatedly...I spray with WD40 and they are OK for a while, but then stick again down the road..I have 100K on my explorer and have never had to lube my door hinges...is there a TSB for door hinges??

second, right rear door speaker gives off a terrible vibration during certain tones..I would think it is blown...is removing the door panel and replacing the speaker something that anyone can do or is it best left to the pros...also, if I can do it myself are there any how to's or size info you could share so I do it right..

thanks for any help you may be able to provide...my wife loves her Max but these 2 things are becoming increasingly annoying

The audio system warranty is only for 1 yr. Depending on your dealer's generosity, you maybe on your own on that.
