New shift **** and leather e-brake boot

Well I finally put in my redline leather shift brake boot, smells and looks nice!
The emboss on the leather is a bit different but it looks fine to me. And since my stock shift **** was broken I decided to upgrade to a nice Momo ****, It matches with the interior perfectly:

Looks fantastic. Love the ebrake boot. Considered shortening the shifter height?

Thanks guys!
Mystery I had bought another one that was more shaped like the stock version (still with silver accents) but it didn't mount right, so I took it back and got this one, since I am auto it's more for show anyways, but it does feel weird to the touch for now.

Jayz, as far a shortening it, I would like to but can I just cut some off the top with no worries? I wasn't sure...any input would be helpful.

JSmith,

No worries man. Myself and a few others have done it. My OEM broke, so I was moved into getting an aftermarket, and I just didnt like how high it rode.

I know I will have to turn in my Momo when I sell the car, but I honestly doubt the dealer of whoever will even know I chopped 1 1/2 inch off the stem. (Hacksaw, verrrrry carefully)

BTW, anyone know what the hell the SHIFT LOCK "button" thing is above the shifter?

It doesnt appear to be functional.......

Ramberg, too funny man, your sticker inside your console is doing the exact same as mine, peeling up front. I finally took it off, my stuff kept sticking to it!

Cool thanks guys, looks like I'll be hacking tomorrow!
I am tearing into the dash again anyways, I got the IPOD controller that Clarion finally released. Now I can use my HU screen to control my IPOD, yipee. I can finally free up my other drink holder and stash the IPOD away...
I'll post more pics after the job is done tomorrow.

And yes my stikcer is peeling and I also was wondering about the shift lock, silvermax I'll test your theory tomorrow....

shift lock?
it's in the manual. IIRC you must pop it if the alarm activates and locks your car??? could be wrong, but that's what me noggin thinks.

Do you guys think I could make it in time for the meet? j/k Damn, sounds like a good time...
Well I cut the stem (a bit less than 2") wasn't too hard with the old hacksaw.
Looks MUCH better thanks guys!!
I also got the IPOD controller hooked up, not impressed at all. You can't search for music, you have to set up playlists, overall not engineered as I thought it would be. So I decided to leave it hooked up for now but also have the direct line hooked up if I need to search something out, I usually have it on random anyways, it is nice to have the song title etc..up on the main screen of my HU (plus it charges it). I also set up the dual zone screens so I can have rear view up top and dvd/IPOD on the other screen, works great. I once again surprised myself with messing with installation stuff!!!
I'LL POST PICS LATER TODAY!!!

Thanks for the feedback, I did a search on the internet for real wood dash kits, I found this site that had REAL Burlwood kits. With my experience with dash kits, real wood has always looked the best. Cost me about $350.00 but to me, well worth it... And I installed it myself...

Looks nice jsmithsole!!! I did not want to chop the shift stalk on mine so I just cut the top of the adapter and let the shift stalk hit the top of the inside of the ball. No modification needed.

I do love my silver carbon Momo **** though. Can I have your stereo system.....pretty please????
