Pics of just the front lowered on Eibach/Konis

I got up Saturday to install all 4 spring/shocks and I only ended up doing 2. I really love the way it looks just like this. I seems perfectly even all around. However the ride is much worse. I figured this pics would be helpful for those thinking about doing just the front.

did you get the rear adj. AGX shocks? I wonder if it will ride better with them and the oem springs.

Looks good - I LOVE my drop. I have only noticed a slightly harsher ride - nothing to write home about

I'm so jealous. I'm waiting for my struts to come in. I've got the springs and shocks waiting to be installed. I wanted to have it done for the DCMAX meet this weekend but it doesn't look like that is going to happen. At any rate, your car looks good now but it will look even better once you're done.

Car looks great.. Hope you are semi happy with the set up. I don't know why the eibachs make noise. It sucks. I had springs on every car I ever had never had problems. Good luck.

I think the lowered front makes the car now look even. Looks great as is. How much worse is the ride with just the front lowered. Is it tolerable? This is what I am planning on doing. Looks so much better without the front 4x4 looking gap that mine has.

I think it looks great, but it would be better to do all fours....Why have different spring ratings for the front compared to the stock rear...The ratings of springs work together ( all four having the same rating) , that is why they are not sold in pairs.

Did you cut the bump stops? On my 95 I forgot to orig do that and man did it take the bumps hard. Realized I didn't cut them. After cutting much and I mean much better ride. Gaining back suspension travel=better ride

Gorgeous. Eibachs all around make the car look terrible, IMO. The rear sits way too low and looks like it's sagging.

do all four Hamy, the ride will get better with the whole set...

I did the same with the coils, I could only do the front two at first and it rode like **** till I got the rears in.. the whole ride got so much better and firm instead of bouncy like it was..

Ummm.....NO. The springs are not all the same rating and probably aren't even the same dimensions. The springs front and rear should compliment eachother so that they basically have the same frequency when you are driving as to not keep the car oscillating. There are many factors in determining spring rates including motion ratios, desired wheel travel, weight at spring locations, etc.

Agree, the spring hieghts are different and a lot more goes into determining spring rating, however the spring coil diameter (thickness of the spring) and strength are different than the OEM and all 4 should be installed to compliment each other. You will be loosing the true performance enhancment of the ride without the total package.

Put one person in the back of your ride with the OEM spring and your ride will probable drop 1" in the rear. With a .08" drop from the Eibach, and the weight of the same person, it may drop you only an additional half inch because of the increase stiffness of the spring working with the rear struts. It's your ride, this is strictly my opinion. Your car still looks great, but get what you paid for, the whole package...

PS, I have the springs on my car and installed them myself, so I am speaking from experience, not my keyboard...

The picture below is an all Eibach dropped side view of my ride, looks pretty level to me and I have bags of groceries and my daughter sitting in the back seat, and a truck full of American Red Cross rescue gear in my trunk...

Sorry, one last comment, if you really look closely (not that close, back up) at the first picture you posted of your ride, it's not level, the rear is higher than the front but you get a preception that it's straight because now the front and rear wheel gaps look about the same. My Opinion Only... By the way, love the house...

Agreed, but it looks even SWEETER that way!!
I got a set of Eibachs waiting to go on.

Hamy, let me know how it rides with just the front done. I am really considering doing the same thing.

(for sale.....set of rear Eibachs )

I'm getting my Eibachs put on tomorrow. I also have the adjustable Koni struts and adjustable AGX shocks. For any of you are using this setup, what do you recommend I set the adjustments at?

make sure you set the rear were you want, cause once they are in you won't be able to adjust them anymore..

Why is that? I figured I'd just have to jack the car up and pull the wheel to make an adjustment.

top mounted adjustment struts only

never mind, those shocks are "side mounted adjustable" that you can get to easy..

if you had the "top mounted" ones you wouldn't be able to get to it cause the top of the strut goes in the well on the rear of the car, making it imposible to get to them for adjustments..

yep on the K-sport you won't be able to adjust them when you want.. you will need to uninstall the whole thing to adjust it..
