Shifting during takeoff

I wanted to poll the forum and find out at what point you are shifting gears when taking off. How many go past 4k rpms? How many just go on feel or by a particular mph?

It depends on what you're doing. Saving gas, then don't go above 2.5k .. Racing, go to 6.5k ...

Vague post so

I usually shift before 3k but ive noticed all my friends who drive sticks who arent into cars and just own them because they were cheaper drive odd. They shift directly after the clutch is fully disengaged in 1st, so basically right when you take off.
