What finish do you prefer on your mufflers?

I was wondering what finish you prefer on your mufflers? Chrome, natural stainless, black, or some other color.

I guess it depends on how big the mufflers are, or how much of them you can see. Definitely chromed tips. How about a pole on tips: single vs dual, slanted, walled, oval, round, square, yada x 3.

I have the Greddy SP-2 and its polished stainless steel. It shines and is easy to keep clean. Warren

Chrome is not very durable, so I think I'll also go with stainless steel. But you know what, I have a silver colored PT Cruiser and decided to go with the black muffler. The black/silver combo looks great!

I like a$$ bling, chrome or polished stainless all the way. Everytime I clean my car I get up under it to polish the exhaust so that the drivers behind me can comb their hair in the reflection...

i agree with Ramberg, and chernmax on this, greddy sp2's all the way. spray a little wheel cleaner on and wash off and your good to go.

I would get the Greddy if I had the sarona kit, but I like dual tips better for the factory bumper.. I like stainless or chrome also.. has to match the wheels!!

Finally, my first post!! Ha, ha! I'm excited..It was very strange that for some reason I couldn't post before under Maxdizzle. I even sent several emails......Anyway, regarding the mufflers, I'm obviously into the BLING! The Polished stainless is my favorite, as I have the GReddy! I think it gives the car a G35 coupe look from the rear with the tubes and it let's peeps know that you are packing something a little different than Stock! Some guys I guess don't notice that stuff, but that's one of the first things I check out on a ride is to see if they have some aftermarket mods, namely pipes! Also, if someone could let me know how to attach a pic to my reply, that would be much appreciated.

RHMax: I did a pole on muffler tips. Do a search to see results. I think dual round and dual ovals prevailed.

NIsmo: You're right, I prefer to powdercoat mine bronze and if it wasnt for the possibility that it would discolor, I probably would powdercoat.

When I had the Cattman exhaust fitted to my car for pre-production fitting, the mufflers were chrome and they looked awesome. So, I am choosing chrome. As oterhs pointed out, they are also easy to clean and they let others know you are packing something, but it doesnt scream it.

I'd opt for stainless for the durability factor, but, would prefer that the mufflers didn't show at all, just the dual tips.

Last year, I had a chance to attend a steel seminar in Long Beach, and one of the expert panelists has mentioned that stainless steel is THE SEXIEST steel of them all. Stainless all the way~~
