I was 16 when I had my first maxima...my parents took me to buy it a few days before I got my license (I had a volvo beater before that..to practice on) and they signed and I made the payments...than I bought my 2k2 a about 2 years later...and bought my 2k4 1.5 years after that..and here I am about to turn 21 with my baby..2k4 6speed
29 when I got my first and brand new 2008 Nissan Maxima SE with all options, but Navigation on July 4th, 2008 which was Last year!
I was torn between the SE and SL because SL always comes fully loaded and with the woodgrain. Luckily for me, my SE came with all those features (heated seats, heated steering wheel, spoiler, backup sensors) and the 18 inch rims over the SL's 17 inch rims. Most SL come from the dealership with no spoiler. On the 08 SE it was standard. So, I went with the SE.
In 2 days, it will be my Max's birthday, so, I got to detail it fill it up with some good gas, top all fluids, make sure it feels good, then I will let it sit a little in the garage and then will go cruising later on with my wifey. I will go eat at a fine restaurant to celebrate my Max's birthday. Sorry my Max cannot come in, but I already filled it up with gas, so, it will be full already.

Manual Trannies in the Maxima

The 6-speed manual was only offered by Nissan in the SE in 2004 (I have one). So if you have a manual in your SL, someone must have done a conversion from an auto trannie to the manual.
I am heart-broken that Nissan has dropped the 6-speed manual in the Max. Looks like my next car will be an Altima (where I can still get the 6-speed) or some other brand of car with a manual trannie. Will cross that bridge when the mileage on my 04 gets closer to 200 K (I'm at 85 right now)
