I had the SE-R automatic kit installed on my car in February. Somewhat expensive but it sure does look nice.

I always wondered, do those stainless steel pedals get slippery when your feet are wet?

Crap

Dropped the car off for early morning service. So shes out of commision until afternoon tommorow. I will post pics of the final job. They do look great, my foot slides of the alumi faster then rubber, but it does have rubber inlays so it feels pretty nice none the less.

I have been considering this for my next project. How much were all the pedals? Installing the drive by wire accelerator pedal unit isnt a problem is it? I heard the stealership has to do it for soem reason. Looking forward to pics.

Stealership my left **** cheek!! I wouldnt let them do anything mod wise to my Maxi if her my life depended on it.

No its a simple plug and play procedure.

1) disconnect battery.
2) disconnect fly by wire from pedal, slide up and towards you.
3) remove two 10mm nuts (top)
4) remove one 10mm bolt (bottom)
5) remove pedal assembly.
6) install new pedal in revers of above.

Its so easy if you could almost do it with you eyes closed. LOL

I just made the point of having the carpet shampooed before I installed the pedals. You know cause........... well cause I just wanted to.

Deus, they look really awesome. Total price was $200CA dollas, cause the flybywire pedal is $119 on its own. I guess all the electronics in it....

Peace,

Kam

Why exactly are you guys replacing the entire gas pedal assembly? You can install the SE-R pedal on your stock pedal.

MAXIMA-GHOST: No pictures and there is a thread (Feb?) about pedal pads.

Cost in February from Courtesy was $111.49.

Instructions I received was that the closed throttle position has to be relearned when changing the assembly.

rsly 33: In February the only way to purchase the SE-R kit was entire assembly. Don't believe it has changed.

I looked into putting the Alti SE-R pedals on my car back in summer and was told the same thing by the dealer: The accelerator pedal is only available as a unit.

My local dealer quoted me a price of $93.00 for the gas pedal. This sounds like the cheapest price yet, unless they have all raised prices since August.

I was also quoted $23.60 for the foot rest and $25.16 for the brake pedal.

That's a good price, thanx for clearing that up.

I think I would rather buy from a Stealership than take a chance on E-Bay.

This link is for Performance Nissan who sells the Altima SE-R pedal kit. This link erroneously indicates its for automatic. The automatic version is only $120. It also indicates that the accelerator pedal pad is NOT available separately.

Kam,
Looks awesome man!! What color is your interior, looks like the charcol to me but not sure. And one quick question, how exactly does the foot rest pedal attach? looks like you had to attach it through the floor, but I may not be looking at it correctly. And the throttle pedal has not had any issues with any re-learn proscess? Thanks in advance!!!

i took out the regular screws from the footrest and used longer drywall screws. See there is this block of plastic under our regular foot rest that sits there so i just screwed it into that.

No problems re-learning throttle positions. Remember this is the exact same engine in ours as the SE-R.

A lot of us did the same thing with the 25th Anniversary pedals from the 5th gen Maxima, and the dead pedal from a 350Z. They look identical. Nice clean looking install that doesn't take much work.

Heat the pedal covers in hot water or with a hair dryer to get them to fit over the brake and clutch a bit easier is the tip I have for anyone doing the install.

Sorry what was that? LOL I was too busy looking at your GPS screen. :O

No no, MOMO is really nice but I wanted that stock look you know. Plus the dead pedal was a perfect match to the other ones. But now I saw the G35 one. Me want.....

Thanks Fellas,

Corrupt the car? Lol IMO those pedals look better than flashy colored ones. But if thats your style, then rock on.
