Shifter Boots and Ebrake Boots Part 2
Shifter Boots and Ebrake Boots Part 2
Happy Happy Joy Joy!!!
So I got a second set of leather boots for my baby from REDLINEGOODS.COM today. I asked Maciek (org sponsor) to make me a shift boot version without velcro (I hate velcro), and to re-design the e-brake boot a touch.
ANYWHOO..... I couldn't be more happy. The new boots arrived today and I installed them. PERFECT FIT!! YES YES A PERFECT FIT.
The Shifter boot got on flawlessly and sits in the reverse lockout groove like a perfect size jimmy hat
The e-brake boot was a touch harder to install but once on, everything worked magically, it doesnt get caught or anything, its flawless.
I really wish the pics were better because they dont do the leather justice. I think the silver stiching offsets our aluminium trim perfectly and the thick leather makes the clangly shifter sound dissapear.
I showed my folks and they thought it was really spiffy, were gonna get a set for the Vibe and the Bonneville also (GM Employees :S)
Anywhoo, props to Maciek and REDLINEGOODS.COM this is a fantastic design job they did and I'm blown away.
Thanks Again Maciek, (DZIEKI i POZDRAWIAM!!)

Who else has 6spd?
Anyone else out there has a 6sp on black interior?
Comon guys i wanna see what it would loook like in yours. Rambergs e-boot looks sweet on the red e-brake handle too.
I wonder what the automatic to manual switch over would look like

Thanks Kam,
Nice pics, appreciate you replying so quickly. Thanks for the link as well. Sure hope I don't drift off topic here, but was wondering did you have to do anything special to get that on there. I could have sworn there was another post about people saying it was a pain because of the reverse mechanism. Ok, i'll leave this thread alone now. Thanks.

No no its cool, to be honest, the Razo **** slipped on like a glove, it was designed for the reverse lockout mechanisim without a doubt. It comes with three adjustment type screws and you use the one that matches your stick the closest. I just like how the shift BOOTS match so well with the **** and the rest of the interior.
Peace,

Sorry to bring this back from the dead but I have a question. I was wondering if you had any trouble getting your ebrake boot installed? I got mine and my shift boot and the ebrake would BARELY fit over the end of the ebrake. Then another 30 minutes to slowly work it down to were it needed to be. It ended up all wrinkled and the top thread ripped.

Actually I'm very happy with the color, maybe a little softess would help, i think some mink oil should help that out.
