Strut question

Hello all,

I know that this has probably been discussed somewhere before, but I did a quick search and couldn't find anything relevant. Lately my 04 Max (built Sep 2003) has been riding a bit more rough than normal. I have the SE edition, and my RSA tires are about half worn (approx. 6/32; I'll be getting new Dunlop Sport 5000M's in a few days). So, I'm not sure if it's the tires or perhaps the struts are going? I've also been hearing lately (especially on the drivers side, sounds like it's coming from the back?) more noises as I go over bumps. Could a rougher ride be due to failing struts? I've talked to the dealer about this before, but they just took it out on a road test and told me the car was just 'stiff' (ie, SE edition)... although this has been about 16K miles ago (I have just over 30K now).

Also, there was mention of a strut redesign... does anyone know if this applies to the 2004, or only 2005 (or 2006)? If it applies to the 2004, does anyone know the model number?

Thanks!

STICKY = everything about strut problem.

My exact Dunlops are not much better than the RSAs.
