So you had to go out and one-up me, huh? If you need someone to show you how to apply wax to that engine cover of yours, let me know!

You back in town again? If you are, let's get lunch on Tuesday so you can show off that engine bay a little.

Here's his inspiration, in case any of you were wondering:

OK, fine, you got one up on me...

Actually, Chernmax and I have both been kinda competing for nicest engine bays since we met at a meet last summer. We both like to keep it pretty under the hood. Now I have to go out and wax my engine cover! I'll concede: he's got me beat.... for now...

OK, but first I have to look up the word epiphany J/K

I just wanted to blend the theme of the orient into the car since it was designed in Japan. I also lived in Japan for 12 years when I was in the Navy and the dragon is a symbol of strength, wisdom and power. Hence the VQ35...

That looks high quality. Nothing cheap about, it just looks like freaking art. I wouldn't even have put it back in my engine bay but leave it in my room so I could frame it. Looks hot and has a great design.

Your calipers look clean too.

Thanks for the feedback, but painting engine conponents and graphics have been around for decades. I will admit, I am extremely happy with Joe's work.

You can check him out at www.joekerner.com

I wouldn't worry about it. His engine bay may be the hotness, but I think you've got one of the slickest exterior 6th gens that I've seen. Especially with that new front clip.

That did cross my mind as well... I remember seeing them elsewhere, and I guess for shows you really can't go wrong...

Hell, even JC Whitney sells translucent (plastic) hoods, but I think they make them for Hondas and cost like $1k, although I suppose if you know the right people that can manufacture this type of thing, you can get a "show hood" that you can swap out whenever going to a meet/show or something.

The wheels are turning, I normally post completed projects just in case things change or I decide against it. But again, the wheels are turning.

It says it not completed yet. That could be the flash of the camera.

Appreciate the props, however my vision and design would have never been achieved if it where not for Joe Kerner, the artist (www.joekerner.com) who made the design sketches into the superb work of art it is, and trust me folks, the pictures look good, but in real life you can see the true visual effects which are jaw dropping. Appreciate the feedback, just trying to step the game up…
