Rear strut problem

I'm probably going to get slaped with a search or a sticky for this one...but are the rear struts on 05's known for problems...because I only have 5500 miles on mine and they squeek...is it possible the added stiffness from the RSB helped this?

um you can't have a rear strut problem. that is absolutely impossible.

We have shocks back there

and what's so hard about trying to search??

i did try, nothing came up, I guess searching for rear struts and not shocks was the problem lol.

While its still up, are these shocks known for going?

I have the same squeak, and I think it could be the bushing for the Cattman RSB. Maybe it needed more lubrication. I'll try to take the car to my buddy's shop to look this week, if not then when I get back in a few weeks. I hope it's not the shocks.

My '04SE squeaks a bit going over parking lot speedbumps while the outside temps are cool (40-50F). And it has no mods. I've tried to duplicate on regular road bumps and it's normal. When the temps go up, it's normal. I don't bother with it.

I have the same issue. When the temp goes down here in CT, I get sqeeks going over bumps. I guess its not that big of a deal as the squeek goes away when the temp goes up

Cattman RSB bushing is pretty tight. Besides, I think I didn't put enough sillicone in the first place. But we'll see.

same problem here (04 max se) went to the dealer and finally told them this year (squeak only when cold over bumps)... they could not hear it (i could not either ..was not cold enuf .. and also wet weather) .. but they think i need new front struts, and have ordered them for me (warranty).. so i am not complaining!!

well, i used all the supplied lube and haven't heard a thing.

Stillen uses our old rubber ones. cattman supplies urathane. (Stillen will sell you them off a G35 bar).
