Jsmith, do you know if by any chance there's a bulb that you can replace that orange parking light to something that's white (clear)??? Would love to make a mod like that cause I really hate that orange on the headlights.

just get the LED's that light up in orange. the led's while off are clear, so it won't give off that orange look..

Yup. www.autolumination.com has just about any bulb you want. Plus the white bulbs your looking for (hyper whites) are not hard to find. Do a little search, theyre just a click away.

White for LEDs = white with blue/purple hue mixed in just FYI.

OK guys, got the bulbs installed. These suckers are bright! I took a video but will have to post it later on. Here's a before and after pics.

As you can see they are much brighter than the stock bulbs and the color in person is a way deeper red than stock. I also replaced the reverse bulbs and side marker bulbs with LED's looks sweet
So my entire rear housing is LED I used the matrix LED's from autolumination.
I plan to write up a how to as I took pics along the way. It will have to be next week, leaving town tomorrow..

Yeah they were all dim and yellow, these suckers are bright, I used these for the reverse and side markers:

(I also used these for the footwells, license plate and stock alarm light)

Wait, how do you know I have a lease first of all? And I'm not sure yet what I will do, most of the stuff I have done is pretty bolt on with the exception of the exhaust which as of now is pretty permanent...

Anyone with these LED tower "bulbs" have any daytime comparison pics?

Most of LED "bulbs" will look plenty bright enough at night, but in daylight, they're often lacking.

I only ask because I've been interested in getting a set myself but have held off for the above reason.

Thanks, I'd appreciate it.

If you can, and have the time/patience/etc., could you take comparison pics of regular bulbs side-by-side to the LED bulbs?

And perhaps different pics with tail light only and then with the brake applied?

Thanks again!

To all the peeps who want to change their reverse bulbs to LED, just be warned that the LED will only make the light look cooler by mixing in the blue/purple hue but lumens wise is not brighter. Also, since the reverse bulb is 194/168, I recommend the 9-LED 921 bulb for maximum brightness.

If you don't mind me asking what does the Load Equalizer do?? Oh nevermind I just read it stops the fast blinkin. Also what bulb did you use for the reverse? Was it that wedge bulb? I guess this will be my next small mod.

Is the plug butt the difference between the 1156 and 1157? Also do you thing the Super white would be brighter that using actual red? And will the 32LED not fit?

Yes I used the wedge bulb that is pictured for the reverse bulb (added that to the list, thanks!)
1156 = single filament
1157 = dual filament (for running light blinker/brake in one bulb)

1156/1157 = round metal base
3156/3157 = rectangular plastic plug type base

They recomend using red bulbs behind a red lens, not sure though...
The 32 LED should fit but I don't think you'll get as good of coverage throughout the lens as you do with the towers...

So 3157 is the actual bulb # I need to order? Maybe I'll run a comparison with the 32 vs. the tower.
