6th gen fogs

Do you ride w/ your fogs on or off?
Just wondering since they're not positioned like most fog lights are on other cars. I always have mine on but every other 6th gen I see on the road seems to have them off, am I the only dork that rides w/ them on?!?

I pretty much run my yellow fogs all the time and I don't think I'm a dork.

is there anyway to rewire the light so you don't have to turn on the headlight to turn on the fog lights?

Normally roll with headlights or body lights on, fogs on during low light on back roads only.

mine is always on, it seems pretty dark without it. Maybe I will turn it off once I switch to HID headlights =)

I always have them on because it looks better, but I think I need to keep them off because people are always flashing me. I think they think my brights are on because of two lights...

Mine are on, they light up the road closer to the front end which is especially helpful when parking in dark parking lots etc, its easier to see potholes, parking blocks or my kids toys in the driveway. I want to switch out the yellow parking/blinker bulbs with the ones that burn white and blink yellow, then I can have 3 pairs of white lights on!!!!!

yeah, is there a way to rewire the lights so that we can just turn the fog lights on independently instead of having to turn them on only when the headlights are on ?

Had my Piaa's in for over a year now with no problems...not sure how long the stocks will last, some people seem to have had problems with them.

OK, I have a question, when you say your rollin with fogs, are your headlights on also? I tried just to turn on my fogs (for ***** & Giggles) and they will not turn on unless my headlights are on also (I have HID).

I also tried to turn on the fogs with just the body lights on, still a no go. Again no big deal since I only use my body lights or headlights when cruising and fogs for fog...

Good question Chern.. i was wondering the same!

But for the record, i run mine when travelling on dark desolate interstates (no disrespect, but in particular through Nebraska ! ), when it's raining, or of course, foggy.

if you have replaced them so often why not have the dealer check your wiring?? I hope you didn't pay to replace oem bulbs: 36k warranty.

FOGs on all the time

I have the 3000k HID yellow fogs in mine, I run them all the time with regular lights, but i would like to run them independant of teh mains.

Anyone know how to re-wire em to be independant of the MAINS?

Thanks,

Kam

Anyone want to educate me on this???

Since no one is replying to my question, you and others may also have been rollin with your fogs off. You may have turned the fog switch on, however they remained off. Only way the fogs might have turned on is if the lighting conditions turned dim and they automatically came on if the headlight switch position is on Auto, thus when the headlights kicked in, so did the fogs.

My headlights are HID, can someone tell me if the Hologans work differently.

All I want is a simply answer, explain to me how you roll with fogs on and all other lights off?

That's my next move. I thiought it was just that as far as wiring. I tried to do it in order to not wait on the dealer but off I go.

sorry, i guess i phrased my question incorrectly, i meant to ask if WHILE they had their headlights on did the also "roll" w/ their fogs as well? not rolling independent of the headlights. although that would be nice i guess!!!
