The turbo lives outside the engine bay behind the cat, greatly reducing the complex piping and fitment issues under the hood. Not sure what the catch is but at first look the idea is great.

 

this guy i know has this system on his s-10 with an LS1 swap in it and it is freakin' fast. it's pretty cool and it helps out when you want to go single turbo instead of dual on "V" motors. I know there is almost no way my max can swallow 2 turbos so by just installing the turbo more downstream it's much more easier. the only thing is my car is lowered with eibachs and i don't know if it would clear something like this. that would be sweet though

 

Interesting concept. Good for trucks but us w/ lowered car and who live in an area w/ a lot of snow could pose a problem.

Then again, looking at the installation pics the piping is just as complicated. I'm starting not to see the benefit in this.

c'mon man, not even you driving your maxima do that...so dont burst his bubble... its like evrything, the product is out there...you wann it, you need it and you can afford it...so you get it..otherwise you wish you could afford it or you could use it and maybe then you would want it.

i think i would want it..but it is hard enough to maintain a reasonable speed with my car being stock and all so i dont want more power under the hood just to tease me and make me feel miserable just because i cant use it everyday, every time i want to, besides dont ever get a chance to go to the track so...i wish i could use it... sweet though...

You'll probably get hugh turbo lag from the way it's setup.

 

Correct me if I am wrong (as I am a complete noob on engine mods in general), but if something is under PSI (7 in this case - as states the website), why would it matter how complicated the INTAKE was? I understand, 'the free the air can enter/exit the better.' However if one end was under PSI why would it matter if they put it through a hundred extra feet of piping? Regular air intakes will have 0 psi. So length would make a difference. In this case we have a POSITIVE pressure system.
Is my logic messed here?

yeah i heard alot about these... A couple of guys that owned a Ram Hemi had this set-up and it rocked.. Serious HP, even for the Hemi.. I really miss my truck when it came to rear HP... It look weird, and i was skeptical for a while before they were putting it on their rides..... later..

 

I looked at this for my Silverado (that’s what I use to plow through the 2 feet of snow) and it runs $3995. It comes with what looks like 500 parts, fasteners, hoses and clamps. Then you need to get a booster controller for $150, a tuning system for $499, a fuel management system for $225 and a intercooler for $1150. Let's recap, a complete turbo kit $6019 (not including a snorkel), a **** load of parts to assemble, and they claim a 45% increase in whp (I don't buy that but I'll play along!). That's about $40 per hp which is cheap only in Harley Davidson terms.

I say it’s too much $$, but a great concept for rear wheel drive vehicles.

Thats what i was thinking....it even said it had one for a 90-93 integra...i used to own a 95 integra and that was much lower then my max.....

Some one with pull and knowledge of this company should give them a call and let them know they need to make these for our max's....

These type turbo sytems have actually been around for a little while and while not the most efficient of systems out there I have seen some decent numbers posted with only 5-6 lbs of boost.

Seriously, I saw a video on streetfire.net and they had a leafblower giving whicked gains on the smaller engines. How does this not work if its on the same principle?
