Has Nissan lost its way?

Not long ago, Nissans were hot cars. The Altima, the Maxima,
the Pathfinder, the Z were higly desired.

But now, the only Nissan that is still desirable is the Z, although
you can do better for the money: there is the Crossfire,
and I believe that the Miata handles better.
If you want more power you get the GTO, and if you a true
performance car you get the Evo or the STI for the same money
annd those you can driver in winter too, and you have a trunk
and a rear seat.

The Altima? Please. Completely ordinary. A V6 Accord
gives better value for the money.

And the Maxima? You'd have to be naive to buy it today.
The V6 AWD Passat is more powerful and much better
handling. Ditto for the Mazda 6 Mazdaspeed. And if you
want power and RWD, get a hemi. It will leave the Maxima
in the dust.

And today, at the Nissan dealership, I was told that Nissan
does not pay for rental cars if your Maxima is under warranty
and in the shop. *You* have to pay for your transportation
needs if your new Nissan they ****ed up is not drivable for
no fault of your.

I cant believe that.

not sure what this has to do with 6th gens, but dealers do not equal Nissan.
My dealer has taken me home and picked me up. Will do the same for work. They have a shuttle service.

I get a rental because it's part of my Nissan Extended Warranty. Some dealers do give rentals. I lke it that way. I don't want to pay more for my Nissan so many others can have a rental and I may never.

You point out strong points in several autos. But knowing people that own some of them are far dissappointed with their weak points. Friend has a Mazda 6. They hate it. Always at the dealer, only 1-2 years old and already being refused work.
