To each is own, but I guess if you dont track the car stocks are fine. I just find they are not what they seem when you get aggressive with them on the track.

I run track about 2-3 times a month, if you mean autocross, that's a different subject. IMO, sticky tires, Hawk brake pads, and Mossey high performance brake lines give me all I need to brake on a quarter mile track and still own the streets...

Yes I meant cross track or speed track at local raceways, for 1/4 mile tracks stock brakes are more then sufficient.

I was putting my stock rims on and discovered they didnt fit. Remember, with some spacers, the rims should fit fine, maybe 5mm spacers. Its really no big deal.

Damn.. that just kills it.. With a 5mm the rims would stick out. maybe over the fender. I was hoping i didn't have to do any other stuff to it once i put it on. Oh well time to sell the calipers and bracket i guess. really disappointing. Thanks Dues

The rims wont stick out because its only 5mm. My suggestion is to install the parts first and see. If you somehow decide you don't like it, then maybe sell the parts, but I think it will all work out.

The aluminum 300zx calipers weigh around 5-6 lbs. The OEM Maxima calipers are like 15 lbs. Although its not rotating mass, it is unsprung weight which makes suspension more responsive.

No, i have wilwoods on my car and with the stock rims I use 5.6mm spacer. The studs hold up just fine and dandy.

hmmmmmmmmmmm.....$2,400 + installation=around high $2,000 (or maybe you got the 1 piece $1,700 kit) compared to around no more than $1,000 + install yourself.........but it's your money and time

have to ask....where did you get your wheels? they look somewhat familiar, maybe from stillen?

Right. The 300zx conversion is substantially cheaper and its a Nissan product which is nice to have on the car.
