6 genners, need your help! 5.5 gen here

I'm looking to get an engine cover for my car....mine got cracked becuz stupid me left it on the shelf in my garage....and overnight, it fell to the floor (right behind my car)...then in the morning, I accidently backed into it, without even knowing it fell

but yeah, I was comparing some prices on Pinnacle...and the 6th gen intake manifold cover is only $56...compared to the 5.5 gen cover which is $86

Now heres the deal, the 5.5 gen cover already has the nissan emblem on it...with the 6th gen, its sold seperately (according to my nissan FAST program)...and when I looked up the emblem for the 6th gen manifold, its $50!! So my question is...can some of ya'll post up some up close pictures of the engine cover emblem...and possibly measure it? Just the emblem....becuz my stock/broken 5.5 gen engine cover still has the emblem attached and working...i could possibly transfer that...I just wanna make sure it will fit onto a 6th gen cover (if i decide to get one)...it looks much nicer than the 5.5 cover if u ask me

Thanks ya'll!

I have both engine covers, Im currently using the 5.5 gen on my car. I like the silver better and I like that it doesnt have the ugly IM cover thing. Il check sizes on the emblems for ya later.

The 6th gen cover comes with the emblem on it. Since you have to buy a new cover, why don't you get a carbon fiber one?

are you SURE the 6th gen cover already has the emblem on it?

I have the nissan FAST program...and when I pull up the diagram for the A33B, the engine cover is a whole (one part #)....when I pull up the A34 diagram, the engine cover and the nissan emblem are seperate (two part #s)

Ouch... with any luck the new 06

has the backup sensors so maybe when you work on your next new one you will get a BEEEEEEEP first and not run over any parts you have laying around. I have been having fun backing up to things just to see how sensitive they really are.. so far so good!

Thanks

POST 7 - sorry.. trying to fill the odd 15 reply rule so I can post my actual question concerning my 06 Maxima.
