stillen exhaust(tested)

Ok so today i got to put on the stillen exhaust. did not feel any performance. didnt expect any performance BUT didnt expect it to be that quite. my car sounds like a g35 or 350z now it doesnt have a heavy buzz or loud roar. it sounds just right for me now but i sure am happy i didn't pay 600++ for it. as for those of you that did the muffler eliminated and added a pipe and just a tip. the car sounds sooo weird. it sounds more like sad 350z. anyway that is just my opinion. i will have some pics up soon just wanted to share my experience with you. im just putting this thread up because i haven't seen anybody talked about it except for how it looks. thanks for reading.

Woah, just looked at Stillen's page and $550 for 2 mufflers? Sounds kind of expensive and I still want my quad tip.

I bought mine in March and took it off in March. Sad to say I fell for the Stillen and waisted $600. Any takers

AscendantMax; They look good and have a factory finish but I wanted the dual tips. I think it would look better with the Stillen Body Kit. They have a quiet deep mellow tone to them. When your driving you cannot hear anything at all. I bought the Magnaflows and had them custom fitted so I can remove them if I decided to sell my 06 for a 07. With that said, it was a waste of money because I put them on and took them off a week later and now they have been sitting in my garage since. I get bored with having the same thing for a while and change cars every year. This is my 20th car in 20 years and the streak continues.

Ah, so it was purely cosmetic reasons why you didn't go with Stillen anymore. How did it sound at WOT?

and Koyoki, post some pics bro!

sorry.. the server has been down lately pics will be up after i wash my car. Maybe this sunday depends if i have lots of homework. well after messing around with the mufflers they sound pretty decend not to loud and the exhaust was a lil to low for me so i had to push it up a lil towards the bumper. i can definitely tell a little difference in the flow. its a lot more free flowing than the stock unit but its an N/A so you won't really have a big hp difference if you have it too freeflow. Omarbadu: yea i was the winner of the bid on ebay. what a small world huh.

I too, have hesitated on exhaust, because I like the 4-port exhaust.

I know, I know......I can have my cake and eat it too, but it just isn't a priority to change that out just yet. Still have tints and all to do.

Congrats on your ebay win. I am glad to hear you like it. I am also happy for you that you didn't have to spend an absurd amount of money on it!

Kami:why dont you just pm the guy about the exhaust? its not like you can't pm him or he can't pm you.
chernmax: the pics on stillen's website don't do any justice. you have to see it for youself. looks better in real like. like i said pics will be up soon.

I was trying to hold them off from you for a little while, the Org can be a very impatient place...

Example, If you say you'll have pictures up by 10PM, at 10PM and 1/8th of a second later someone will post "where's the pictures???"

I think I'm still a two tip fan even though that looks real good on your ride. Congrats on the ebay win.
Doesn't KC have some aftermarket exhaust with the dual tips?

dues: i am getting old.. don't really want that loud buzz in my ear anymore. i had too many cars with that loud exhaust. i want something quiter. this system does the job. doesn't really look bad and don't sound loud. After having 3 turbo back system on various cars and a full 3" exhaust on my last one for 3 years im starting to like the quiet but a lil *UMPH* sound. i can actually listen to my music now.

It is your whole exhaust from the "cat"(catalytic converter)..........."back".
every car has one... you have one even now. Just skinnier.
