brembo from the 350 or g35

Hey guys,
i am sitting here doing my c++ and then i realise something. this might sound crazy but what the hell. Is there anybody that has any contacts with a nissan dealer ship or anything inside a nissan part shop? this is because i realise that the 350z without the brembo have the same break system as we do but im not sure. if this is true then wouldn't the brembo set on the 350z fit on our maxima because i know for sure that when the 350z upgrades the brake system from the factory the don't use anybrackets what so ever. if so then the 350z brembo or the g35 brembo would fit perfectly on our cars. By the way i also know for sure that the 18's on the stock maxima will clear the brembos on the g35 because i saw one 350z with our maxima rims on. so can sombody find this out please. thanks.

There ahve been a couple of these theads on here, and I wondered the same thing when I got my Maxima. I know Nissan likes to have parts fit different cars, so I think there is a good chance. The latest I heard is that the front Brembos need some modification, but Im not sure what. I heard the rears bolt on with trimming of the splash shield. I can't remember the source. Frankly, there are better alternatives. Wilwood makes a nice BBK for around $1200 and I have 300zx brakes on my car for about $400-500. My car just needed a bracket made by Matt Blehm. All of these calipers have 4 pistons and mine weighs only 5-6 lbs cuz they are aluminum. SOmeone even thought I had Brembos on (even though NISSAN is cast into the caliper!)

dues: actually if i am not wrong i think you do have brembo but just have the print of nissan outside. Didn't brembo made calipers for the nissan during the 90's? i know the skylines are brembos with just a nissan sig on it. the calipers on the 300z is the same ones on the skyline.

Koyoki: Nissan used Sumitomo brake calipers, cuz thats what it said on the outside. I filed it off cuz it was ugly.

oh sorry then. i guess the skylines are the one that have the brembo's.. by the way do you think if we upgrade our platnum on the maxima to the g35's or 350z would there be a big diff in hp? i know the configuration is different but its not giong to be a major work to do that i mean its stock execpt for the engine config. that only mean that the intake will be closer to tire. just wondering.

About 10 posts down TheBlackOne has made a post of brembos on his Altima. The cool thing is, this.... if they fit on the Altima it will fit on the Maxima.

Basically, if u want to re-use the stock rotors u have to have a bracket made that moves the caliper about 1/2 inch forward. 1/8 inch forward on the Altima, 1/2 inch forward on the maxima.

The rears are a direct bolt on....

Nice, but if u want GODLY stopping power

WILWOOD 13.6"

I have a set on my car, and they are worth every single penny

Also, since our cars have EBD and EBA this upgrade is pretty insane, I have had to use the emergency system once and im telling you I'm glad I had thease on the car.

EBD - electronic brake distribution (proportioning valve)
EBA - emergency brake assist (engages full on brake in case of rapid pedal depression)

Isn't EBA also known as ABS? Sounds like it to me

EBA is different...isn't it?...isn't that the wuh they use on the new G35s...its supposed to have sensors up front and automactically use brakes...almost like smart brakes...just incase you don't realize you have to stop.
