GPS Navigation DVD Question

Hey guys and girls.. sorry for this dumb question.

I just bought an '04 Maxima SL, Silver, fully loaded with everything.

The GPS DVD is version 6.2, and there is a version, 6.4, out already. Should I get this, or wait for a "6.5" (if that is what they call it).. It seems to be getting released around September or October of every year.

I don't just want to buy 6.4 now, and in 2 months, 6.5 comes out, and i'm stuck with it. There are a lot of highway changes in my area due to reconstruction of Rt. 80, Rt. 46, and Rt. 23 in the NorthEast New Jersey area.

Thanks for any help and input.

-Frank

If I recall correctly, these updates are on the pricey side. If you can, why not wait until September or October for the "6.5" release? If you can't wait, then go for the "6.4" release now (although I'd be inclined to wait ).

Here is the link: http://www.zenrin.com/nissan/DVD/

The update is about $190.

I was also thinking of waiting. I don't need the gps that much right now, but do use it at times. It's working fine at the moment. I'll just wait.

Thanks,

-Frank

I know this is somewhat unrelated and out of left field, but...Does anyone know if video DVDs can be played through the navigation DVD unit???
