07 Max with spoiler

Went by my local stealership today and I saw a brand new 07 Max with A SPOILER on the lot. They only had one and it was white. It was just like the G35 spoiler but it was filled in. There wasn't a gap between the trunk and the top of the spoiler like the G35 spoiler. Not sure if I liked it or not but it stood out from the other ones. I have a 04 with the G35 spoiler and they actually compared the two cars and OF COURSE they liked theirs better but I said yours is a copy of mine (smile). I said "Lets keep it real....your ride came AFTER mine." Then I rode off into the sunset.

Nope...it is different. I also saw an '07 Max with spoiler and noticed the different exhaust. Much sweeter.

I like that the new exhaust doesn't have the two concentric rings on our cars. Our car looks like you just put an exhaust tail on top of the OEM tube. I tried to fix it by cutting the inner tue, but the pipe is not straight out, so I have to go to an exhaust place and get them to do it...

The Chrome tips are attached to that inner exhaust tube, if you cut the inner tubes off the tips won't have anything to hang on to. I am going to paint the inner exhaust tube black to see if I can hide it better.

the 2 terrible deisign flaws about an otherwise nicely redone car are the black plastic housings for the fog lites in the front bumper, and the black plastic molding thats on the back bumper....other then that design wise i think they did a pretty good job.

oh yea and SL wheels are a disaster.

Love the interior, hate the front grille (I'd rather have the 06 grille) and the spoiler (too much saturn ion-esque).

Looks like SL is the way to go to avoid the spoiler, use the stock 17"s as winters, and get some nice Nismo's otherwise.

Hey HGN2001, can you take some more shots of the spoiler, like perhaps from the top, side, and other different angles? I'm torn between this spoiler and the g35 one. Any help is appreciated.

OK, here's a few more:

On the middle one above, it looks like a space in the middle, however, there is no space in between the trunk and the spoiler. That's a reflection of a flattened out piece in the middle.

Oh without a doubt, that spoiler will fit an 04-06 Max...

I checked my dealer and they have a part number already, it depends on paint color of course. The price he quoted me painted is about $300.00. I am sure you can get it a little cheaper if they are willing to give you the employee discounted price if you have a good relationship with the parts department.

Is there any way to get the spoiler pre-painted in an earlier year's color? The paint code for the 07 silver is different from that of 06. If not, there goes even more money towards paint. =(

I talked to the stealership the other day and i also saw an 07 SL without the lip, doesnt look like it will fit. The ends of the trunk lip are curved in a little and the 04-06 ones are not. not sure if that would effect it.
Well anyways the parts guy said it doesnt match the previouse years codes duh! i said, but he put his two cents in and said it wont fit and we wont do it. So... go figure.

Thanx for the pics of the spoiler. I had been searching on line for some good pics that really showed off the spoiler but found none.

I'm in the process of ordering an 07 Max SL from the factory through the dealership and I've been trying to decide if I really wanted to pay the extra little bit to add the spoiler or not. Estimated ETA is October (at the latest) ... I cannot wait!!!!

Why the long wait?? There are '07's everywhere. What are you ordering exactly??

looking like abit of money needs to be wasted for this mod.

* 300 for the spoiler
* $ to paint it on 04-06 models
* installation (maybe)

is this spoiler worth all of this?

Perhaps you're right. It does seem a bit excessive. And the 07 Max with spoiler has a .30 cd while the 06 Max with spoiler has a .28 cd.

That's a pretty significant difference.
