Forgive me if this has already been posted, I tried to do a forum search using google.

I received from Nissan a brochure for the '07 Maxima yesterday. I read though it and noticed that it states the '07 Maxima will have 255 HP and 252lb-ft of torque. I thought that the 2004-2006 cars had 265 HP, ten more horsepower than the 5.5gen had. Am I mistaken, or has Nissan de-rated the VQ in the Maxima? If so, why?

 

I think it maybe the new way of measuring power the car companieas are going to. I believe it still has the same power. Even so with a more efficient transmission now it make even be quicker.

 

They rated it at a different RPM, same power different rating.
