Max2damax,

No they arent out, i was invited to nissan to check out my options. What we discussed was bascically, me getting the 07spoiler and rims on my 05 SE, or getting the new Altima. The altima should be coming within 2 months.

So whats your input regarding my options. I mean, a friend of mine told me, if i am getting a car with 0 kms its a plus, i am getting a car with better features than my current maxima its a plus, i am getting cvt and save a bit more on gas is a plus.

But am i letting go of something better? I feel as if i am downgrading becaue its an altima. Agreed i will be taking the 07 3.5se, so no change in power. But overall, the sales guy made me think, if i can lower my monthly, is the altima the way to go????

Do let me know any of you guys, and do explain your reasons based on my post earlier. Oh and the sales guy said 0 down.

Id refinance as soon as you can get approved for a reasonable rate.

When I first bought my Max I got it at 7% out the door because I wanted to buy it on the spot. The following week, my bank refinanced it at a new car rate of 4.2%.

Do it now so you can lock in the new car rate!!!

Recommend you do it from a bank you're already a member of, if your bank gave you that rate, shop around, banks always compete...

I think I may take the cake on payment amount.

Brand new 06 SE 6-spd (7 miles on it!), every single option available except the elite package. Extended warranty and LoJack.

Rolled $3,800 negative equity into payment. No money at all out of pocket. 5% sales tax, title, and registration also financed. Nissan financing at 6.9%.

$778.83 x 60 months.

Ouch.

Actually, it's only about $5,500 in interest.

The difference between the car price and the total of the payments ($12,000) isn't all interest. $3,800 was rolled as negative equity, $1750 was the 5% sales tax, and about another $1,000 was lojack, extras, registration, and title fees.
