YES!!!

I finally have heard of someone else having this issue! Mine is when I close it, it thumps or clunks. Nissan can't find anything wrong with it. They've even tried lubing the track.

If you have any success in solving this, let me know. I am going to Nissan tomorrow to have other stuff dealt with!

I figured that was normal since when it closes it hits the wind deflector so that it goes down. Or am I thinking of something different?

Hey there Project,

I have no wind deflector. Mine only does it when settling into the roof while closing.

Even though there are now three folks expressing this problem, according to Nissan, they can't find a problem.

Just for giggles: This is embarrasing as all get out. Especially when I have friends riding in the car.

check the TSB there is something to do with the straps that holds the wind deflector. you have to unscrew each strap, twist it and screw it back into place... i had a similar noise as the sunroof closes.

hope that helps

actually there is a small wind deflector that is inside of the sunroof area. it pops up a bit when the sunroof is open and gets pushed down when it closes. mine makes a clunking noise also when closing, but not every time. actually it rarely happens, but it does happen.

That's the wind deflector that I was referring to.

yeah there are cloth like straps at each end. follow the instructions and it works.

unscrew, twist, and tighten.

repeat on next side.

I'll try your 'fix' to the sunroof issue, thank you for your direction!
