What do you guys think about some of this chrome trim????

There are some pieces that may look cool if you have chrome wheels...

How about some chrome trim to fix the faded a$$ strips on the top of the car.

Both of mine have faded and I'm wondering, if I buy new ones from the dealer, I'm gonna run in to the same problem in next year. Where's the quality control??

Thr portholes make it look like a Buick. Not the window pieces.
Maybe the side molding. the air dam and trunk pieces NOT!!!

As far as the roof chrome trim, Have you tried polishing it yet, with a polish for that kind of stuff. Be carefull not to get any on the paint, It will take some of it off. Or regular car polish for the painted parts should make it look good again too. Stay aaway from the scratch & shine car washes.

That's to much and it looks like a Buick. Chrome door handle are ok. I have the ones from usspeed. I put them on to bring out the color. The car looks black even to me sometimes and I love it when you can clearly see the smoke color.

The dealer replaced mine in 20 minutes. No problem. The chrome is nice and smooth, after a car wash I can polish them to a shine with a cloth.

I see something I loath in the OP's pic.....those damn dealer stickers....arrrggggg. It'll be a cold day in he|| before I'd let a dealer sell me a car with advertising on the bumper. I HATE THAT!

Cheaper if you use vinyl. You can get it in black, grey or carbonfiber. Just have it cut to fit and your done.

Chrome is like cologne, a little goes a long way.

I am one that had the roof trim replaced and they cracked my windshield!!! Sux azz to get it fixed.

I like the level and placement of the chrome on the new Murano, under the door and on the front bumper and the door handles. On a onyx Max I wouldn't want too much chrome but I do not want too much black either.

To me, chrome = cheap.

I'm old enough to associate it with all the crappy Detroit iron of the '50s & '60s. A very little brightwork is OK, but polished or brushed aluminum looks way classier than chrome.

Fake wood trim is just as bad.

Chrome + fake wood + softer suspensions are what formed my negative feelings about SL/GLE Max's. I would never even consider a GLE/SL, and am somewhat dissapointed that my '07 SE has as much chrome as it does (grille surround/roof trim/shifter trim) and the suspension is as soft as it has become.

I'm enjoying the faded trim. Goes so well with the nonfaded trim. Wonder I could get half the door handles in chrome and the other half faded. Seriously though - to each his own.

nope, the warranty for the defect was the first year of the car or the 12,000 miles... the fading started happening after my 12,000 point... i took it in around 15,000 and they said nope, i would have to pay...

so i waited untill it was unbareable before replacing them... (last month)

Sounds like a plan. Will try that some day when I finally have a minute for myself. Prolly black with my silver or I'll do matching metallic silver. I have both materials in stock.

I'll post the pics aftern I am done. Now I want to do it this weekend. We'll see

I think Im gonna get like chrome handles for the door only. I was thinking of putting some on the spoiler but then I decided to change the spoiler and get one with the LED light on it. I really REALLY like the Maxima with the Lambo Doors though. Where do you get the kit for that at?

Just about every time I've seen a car with chrome trim is WAY overdone and makes it look cheap.

Personally I think the trim looks fugly...it takes away the "eliite" look of Maxima.
