Willwood 13.6" BBK with 6 Piston Callipers Arrived - Picture Heavy

Since only recently Kam posted about the choices we now have with Willwood kits from FastBrakes.com I though I'll post some pictures for you guys to see. This kit was installed on my brothers 2005 maxima se, he is not into forums so I do the research and we apply the mods. This is one crazy kit and stops the car on a dime. It comes with 13.6" drilled and slotted two-piece rotors, 6POT callipers and SS lines. Questions, Comments?

BTW both cars are lowered already.

How was the install? And can you only get the drilled/slotted rotors? Or are there otehr availabilities such as blanks or just slotted etc, etc.

Looks amazing though!

Don't suppose there's any chance those would fit with stock rims?

I believe it can fit stock 18" with a small spacer as Kam has mentioned in previous treads. I will try to put on 18" OEM rim on it either today or next weekend to see how much offset is needed. Will update you guys then

The guy who installed the springs, shocks, etc did it in one shot so he charged us only $35. I don't think you should pay more then about a $100 for such install thou.

You need 5mm offset spacers for the 18" rims, the spokes touch the willwood letters.

The 13.25" will fit the 17" SL rims idealy the 13.6" will not.

The 12.5" kit will fit the 17" SL rims, but you still will need the 5mm spacer for the 18" rims.

Kam you'd said that you got your 5mm spacers from a local shop for like $5.00 bucks, Are you serious? Can you still get some or was it one time deal?

With the 4POT you'll need spacers, with the 6POT i think you might be ok.

Like the clearance issue was minimal and I mean minimal.

NOT AT ALL KAM.

I just tried OEMs 18" (they have 40mm offset, so it says on them) with 6POT and it will not fit. Not only it will not fit, 5mm won't do jack. It needs like 8-10mm to clear. I was shocked/disappointed. I will get your the model modem of the calipers later. Post yours too or email me.

I finally had the time to try OEM rims with a spacer. I went out and bought one universal spacer that is 5/16“ thick. According my calculations 5/16” is 8mm | (5 / 16) x 2.54 = .79cm

Anyhow, the bad new is that it will not clear the calipers. The rim is a standard 18” stock rim and it says that it has an offset of 40mm. Honestly saying I don’t think 10mm spacer will even do. I am sure 15mm spacer will do the job but would mean changing the studs and possible tire clearance problems. This is for a 13.6” BBK 6POT Kit.

If one was to buy a 6POT caliper for their stock rotors it would be even harder to clear because the spokes on the rim go inward towards the center cap and there is less clearance the closer the caliper sits to the center bore.

THAT BLOWS! My 4 POT wilwoods fit great with that chinsy small azz spacer and the OEM 18".

Frig I dont even need a spacer for the 17" OEM rims but the wheel weights touch the caliper on the 17". Thats cause the 13.6" rotor pushes the caliper out too far forward. But with the 12.5" OEM rotor and 4POT caliper the wheel clearance would be ideal.

Well, whats the offset on the 17" OEM SL rim? Cause you basically need a rim like that but in 18" size to make the BBK fit.

thats cause the 17's are 35mm offset

the 18's are 40mm...

the fitment issue he's talking about is the 4 pot on a 13.6" rotor, the stock one is 12.6" so a 4 pot will be fine..

well what he was saying was that the 6pot with the stock rotor would have even more issues than with 13.6" rotors because the center of the stock wheel goes in...

some simple measurement numbers would be helpful in determining if these will fit properly. i have 18" axis reverb rims so my guess is i'm okay... but better safe than sorry
