Rear end collision

Last week I was rear ended while stopped at a stop light. The driver hit me at approximately 50 mph (his estimate) without touching his brakes. My car was totalled.

Anyway, besides a little whiplash, myself and two passangers came out of the accident rather well. No serious inujries.

Glad you and your friends aren't seriously injured. Sorry about your car. Did the car absorb the impact well?

I too, am sorry to hear of your accident.

A little health advice if I may?

Take a clean (preferably new) knee-high sock, fill it with UNCOOKED rice, tie a knot in the top. From there, you can microwave it and put it on your neck. If one minute isn't warm enough for you, you can nuke it for about 2. I wouldn't recommend too much more. The rice retains the heat for about 45-1hour. I sometimes sleep with mine instead of a pillow.

Dr.'s may prescribe medicines for your whiplash, but for me, I hate drugs and they only seem to be a temporal fix. The 'hotfoot' as my family calls it, is on hand most of the time.

I'm glad to hear you are ok. I am sorry about your car though, what a shame. May I be so bold as to ask, "what's next?"

Looks wierd.... Your car is all bashed up alone on a clean street.... Why did they leave your car in the middle of the street?

Ha ha, bunch of leeches! I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to pick any parts off of it, but if I can I will.

I'm looking for cars now, sort of leaning towards an IS350.

Thats the first thing I thought when I was looking at my car after it happened. Looks a little strange with no rear end.

WOW! If he/she really was doing 50MPH, Max held up very well and did its job protecting you.

Cars these days really do a good job of protecting us... I ended up with only a stiff neck and a scratched elbow from this one:

Sounds like a good advice. I'll give it a try not that I had an accident or anything.

Consider yourself lucky. Car looks pretty effed up. Cars are cars, they can be bought and sold, you can't buy your life back, unfortunatelly.

Be safe out there guys.

Didn't mean to imply we were bulletproof out there. Just glad Zargon wasn't in a Pinto or I wasn't in an original VW Beetle!

Damn! That's terrible man, glad you and your passengers are alright....fortunately you guys got lucky.

That's no small accident I believe, and imagine if someone was going through that green light and hit you from the side too....ouch, bad news that would be. Either way, sorry to hear and goodluck on whatever's next.

Yep. There were a lot of things that could have gone wrong that didn't. I feel very lucky.

You are one lucky dude. Glad to see that everyone is ok. Make sure you get checked real well. Don't want neck or back problem later on.

I was rear ended at about 10 mph with my previous ride and it was quite a shock. I just can't believe the Volvo was going 50 mph and the Max (and you) survived the way it did. I bought my Max because I wanted more power and more safety. You are another proof the Max is real safe car.

I could also use an extra engine!! hahaha

Is insurance company sending you a check or what? You can sell the engine for a couple grand if you wanted.
