Turbo Question

I know this has been discussed before but I'm too lazy to search the threads. Can someone tell me why we can't install the turbo unit made by SSR for the 3.5 Altima in our Max. I'm right in saying its the same damn engine and there both front wheel drive. S what gives with this unit, other than the $6400 price tag?

This one is simple no one wants to pony up the 6400 bucks to try it out. I am sure it would fit and work just fine, plus reflash ecu and wow that should make the max fly but 6400 ouch!!!! If it was about half of that I might be temped to do it.

I think they say about 345 or something in that relm but that is still a lot of coin to add 100 horses.

I applaud SSR for creating the only working turbo kit for a FWD 3.5VQ but I don't like the fact that all the piping is underneath the car. Bottom out once or come too close to a curb and BAM, you damage your piping.

well its a start.... few months ago i got the impression that we wont be seeing any kind of turbo for 6th gens. Now, with this kit out there would be people replicating the design and coming out with cheaper kits.
I wonder if they would sell it by parts, cuz really, the only thing i would need is the exhausts manifolds and some of the piping, everything else could be bought separately to create an ultimate custom kit for under 3000

so much for building it yourself for 3k. Man that is pricey but I guess since he is the only game in town if people want it they will pay it. It if was lower I would do it but I can't spend that much on a turbo set up.
