07 Lighted Spoiler installed

Finally ! The 07 rear spoiler is on. I went to a trusted body shop who has done work on past cars I owned. The lip spoiler leaves holes in the trunk lid once removed. The shop filled those holes and repainted the trunk lid. The rear is debadged and I think I like it that way. I forgot to mention the 3rd break light, so they left it wired. This spoiler gives the MAX a different side profile.More details about the 07 spoiler here ............. http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=490146

The spoiler looks great! IMHO, I think being completely debadged is a little too plain. Still looks good though.

oh you mean the nissan BADGE leaves holes. in your first post you said the "lip spoiler" leaves holes. i was about to say, your rear end looks HELLA CLEAN...it just took me a minute to register that you got the holes filled from where the emblem used to be.
when i tried to get small holes like that filled from a trusted body shop they wanted a LOT of money.
anyway, your max's rear end looks very clean man. caught my attention and i dont even come in the 6th gen forum.

I ordered the badges before it was painted but I love how it looks without them. Bring out the exhaust tips and the plate frame already says "Maxima"

Well, I feel the same way. Just wanted different opinion's. I'm sure I could turn off the 3rd brake light but I read that you can't really remove it.

It does look clean. The guy at the body shop even said he liked it better without the emblems.

Thanks, the lip spoiler leaves 5 holes facing the rear. The 07 spoiler is mounted/drilled top of trunk lid. The lid was repainted and holes filled. Cost me more than the spoiler but I just got the Max anyway. I guess i should cancel the emblem's I ordered from the dealer.

Little off topic....

I seen a Guy in LI, NY that had "MAXIMA" logo appear like i want to say almost like a cover on the 3rd brake light on the inside. (This is what I THINK i saw, after a REALLY thinking bout it)

So when he hit the brake, u saw Maxima in red!

And it was 6am on black friday, so don't quote me on this...

But i kinda think it was actually ABOVE the brake light......and kind of lit from bottom to top slowly......(This is what i THOUGHT i saw at that very moment)

We were KINDA racing, and didin't see his back until the end where i was turning off, at a light.

Any1 know what i'm talkin about? I don't think i even have a clue!

Looks great! I got mine from the same ebayer. As for the third brake light, I disconnected mine and simply left in on the rear deck, my car is tinted and you can't even tell that it's there.

That looks really good! And now you don't have to worry about the car coming off the ground at speeds over 200 MPH! :^)

Thanks, That's why I didn't make a big deal about it. I figured I could disconnect it my self.

Never took the Max over 120mph. Only did 120mph running with a BMW.

Removing 3rd brake light

Well, I disconnected the 3rd brake light. I was going to remove the entire assembly but the hole under is the size of the light itself. I took off the lense so that it would be less visible. Maybe the rear deck cover from the 07 models will fit ???? Put the nissan emblem back cause it looked like it needed something.

I let the body shop debadge it but I can tell you that Goo Gone and a heat gun will work. Just don't let the goo gone run down the paint. Also, when I used a heat gun for my "Nissan" grill emblem I almost melted it. So be carfull if you want to keep or use the emblems again.
