I prefer the Bosch ION brand of wiper blades, available at most Automotive stores, these babies are like squeegees when removing water...

Hey whats up... I usually get my blades from Overnight Auto. I use the Bosch Micro Edge Blade. They work great and I replace them twice a year. They have like a film on them that prevents streaking and they sometimes get the gook off the mirror.. You should try them. Here is the link if you want to give em a look...

stay away from trico wipers. the actual rubber piece can easily get seperated from the rest of the wiper blade body.

i have a set of anco flat wipers. works great.

After 2yrs+8mths, one of my blades was falling apart. I know we should change them out once a year, but this was the 1st time I have one falling apart within 3 yrs. I normally change blades every 3 years (it doesnot rain much in California). I went to many stores and they don't have the driver's side and pretty expensive. So I got the Nissan refills at the dealer for $4.xx/$8.xx. It's cheaper than aftermarket stuffs. I think I should start changing them out every two years from now on. It's a quick 5minute job.

on the Bosch ICONS. I live in the Chicago area where it's been below 10 degrees for the past two weeks and they're great. Even great with the snow we're getting right now

Valeo Blades

Valeo ULTIMATE® Wiper Blades through tirerack.com are THE best. Very light. No metal. Synthetic rubber.

Been using them this winter (Chicago) and I've never had a better blade.

I use anything I can find at the store that costs less then $10 a piece cause they all fall apart within 2-3 months. I use them every couple of days to wash my windhield so even the BOSH and Rain-X fail pretty quick.

I have both (Icons and Valeo). Valeos are vastly superior, and Tire Rack does seem to be the best place to buy them.

I have mixed reviews about my Valeos - when they work, they work like a champ, but they don't always work.. part of the rubber midway down the blade bends and when it does it streaks very badly (more like one huge streak depending on how long the bend in the wiper is) .. not sure if I have a bum blade or if its a design flaw.

Max'ers:

Use Rain-Ex on your windshield!! It allows you to go longer with semi-worn blades. I buy Nissan blades about every 2 years but because the Rain-Ex works so great...I have good rain visibility.

Of course, your mileage may vary.

You don't tell us where you live -- it makes a difference.

I use Rain-X and it certainly does help with rain. But when driving in snow slush with salt and sand on the road to improve snow melting and traction on snow-packed roads, it does not help that much. You need good wiper baldes and cleaning fluid in your windshield washer. In this situation, you don't want semi-worn blades -- they streak badly.

Well, I went with Rain-X my last change for like $15 a piece and they weren't any better than standard ANCO I used to buy. I don't know but I seem to be going through sets at a fairly quick pace. I change driver's side about every 3 months and passenger side about every 6.

I wipe mine with alcohol when they start streaking and it seem to help by extending the life for another few weeks. I remember one manufacturer used to bundle an alcohol pad with their blades but don't see it anymore. I guess they weren't selling as many blades so they discontinued this practice.

The suggestion was to wipe Rain-X fluid on your windshield from time to time.
The recommendations was not for the Rain-X Blades.

Noted ... every once in a while I apply the liquid but its pain in the butt to get rid of glazing, works miracles thou once on, the rain just flies of the windshield.

I wanted to save time so I bought the Rain-X sheets that you just wipe the glass with, piece of crap, IMO at least

They should be willing to order the blades you need from their supplier. Ask them to place that order. You may have to pay for them when you place this order, but at least you will be getting the sale price for them.

I don't know if this makes any difference, but the 26" is wider than the 17". I think it's called 26W. Or maybe 26" is always wider, but who knows. So be careful.
I guess the OEM wipers aren't as good. But if you have to change every year, why not buy OEM for a lot less $$$ and sure to fit.

What do you mean "wider"?? do you mean longer? Because the driver side wiper is 26 while the passenger side is 17

I live at altitude and deal with snow all winter, and a little rain in the spring and fall. UV kills blades here very fast, but I have found that I can get more than a year out of Silblades. Available on Amazon.com, roughly $15.00 apiece
