LED Blinkers.

Ok, I read the sticky and I read a few diffrent peoples bulb sizes and now I am absolutely confused. I want to put LED's Switchbacks in the front signals from auto illumination and the rears(4 LEDS) and also the two bottom turning lights I want to put Leds in. Can I have someone who did this mod give me exact sizes becuase I am getting diffrent sizes from all over. Also I read in a forum that the rears are a tight fit so can anyone confirm a bulb that will fit the rears from auto illumination?

Thanks for looking,
Vik

My sticky is correct for bulb sizes...the switchbacks were a tight fit, Ijust dremeled the edges a bit and they went in fine.

Yea but is there a bulb that goes in without such a tight fit, becuase I am going to get it installed from a local shop so therefore I dont want them breaking the LED's so is there anything smaller that would work? and does anyone now a shop in the local NY/Long Island area that can do this without breaking the bulb and then not taking responsibility for it?

I already bought the switchbacks and got them in, now I need to order cornering light and rear LEDs (I know I have been dragging my feet) and once I get these I will try to meet with UNMATCHED (here in Brooklyn) and get these things done. I can't speak for him but maybe we can all meet together in a month or (warmer weather) so and get things done. We can than treat UNMATCHED with something as a token of appreciation for help. I am planning to get switchbacks, corner, rear LEDs, license plate LEDs and possibly FOG HIDs in one shot, if possible.

What ya all think.

Are you paying someone to install these? It's really not hard at all, I wouldn't spend the money. And as for bulbs that fit, you can just buy regular bulbs...

Xoomer great idea. I ordered my HID fogs last night. Now Im going to place the order for the Switchbacks, cornering and rear too. But not the license plate. Do you know what the LED size is for the cornering light?

P.S. Can we get Mr. unmatched to comment on this, if he will be willing to help us out and if anyone else is interested please chime in.

So far Looks like Xoomer and Me...

Jsmith I honestly dont feel comfortable taking the car apart myself and I honestly dont think I can put it back toghther correctly if I do so I leave it to the professionals, and they rape my credit card.

Yea, I'd like to know the correct autolumination bulb numbers and quantities also. The write-up is very confusing and I PM'd jsmith, and I became even more confused. Someone, please post a list of bulb # and location of bulb...even if it's redundant. Thanks.

I don't think UNMATCHED would mind helping us, I haven't met him personally but I hear he is a really cool dude with the most modified 6th gen in the area. I was trying to meet at a local meet but he couldn't make it. When it gets warmer and I get all the parts I am sure we can work something out and together get all them things done.

Paying somebody for the install doesn't make sense, treating an org members for lending a hand with install, I don't mind, especially when I know exactly what we have done to the vehicle. Besides it's gonna be cool to hook up with fellow members and get some modding ideas.

I thought his writeup was excellent with pic by pic explanations..pretty dummy proof.

Much, much better and easy to understand.
Still, you listed:

Map light
DE3021
Dome light
DE3175
Cornering
3156LL
Back up light
912
Step/Courtesy light
194

But none of these are listed under the pictures under any replacement bulbs.
What about these? Can you add these numbers under the appropriate replacement list.

THIS is why I find it confusing. Some may consider in "dummy proof", but when there is a list made of replacement bulbs and certain bulbs are not covered, I just don't wnat to guess on what's needed. They're too expensive for ME to do that.

Also, you have:
Back up light
3156LL
912

Which is it? Either or? Is one better than another or does it take BOTH?

Thanks...after an update, this should definately be a sticky.

In addition, does anybody know if one of the new flasher on autolumination will work with our cars instead of using load equalizers. And where is the darn flasher relay???

http://autolumination.com/equalizers.htm

I would like one of these would be availble so the equalized don't need put in. Anybody?

Ok we'll get to those in a minute, but back to my original sticky, I'm still trying to figure out how I confused you (twice now) It's really straight forward information...

As for these bulbs,
3021 & 3175 = 1-1/4" LONG (31MM) X 1" (24MM) WIDE FESTOON BULBS
(Always measure your festoon bulbs from tip to tip)
Cornering 3156LL is listed if you read carefully:
"Bulbs that end in "56" are single filament (or one purpose bulbs ex:reverse light or cornering light)"
Back up light 912(missed that one)
906 replaces : 579 901 904 908 909 912 914 915 916 917 918 920 921 922 923 926 927 928 939
(Bigger version of 194)
Step/Courtesy light
194

Very bottom of my post.
Back up light 3156LL / 912
Not sure why this lists both, go with 912.

I am pretty versed in lighting but all of this info came from simply searcing the web. www.autolumination.com is a good source of info. And the lighting list came from www.sylvania.com.

Oh and if you are still confused, here's a visual:

Confusion avoidance discalimer: this bottom pic says "3156 reverse light" This may indeed work but 912 does work for sure.

In the two above pictures, the high-mount stop is marked as 2825 on the red car and 949 on the car in the dark. Which is it? Or are they the same? I would think jsmith that you would see why this can be confusing...there different numbers for the same thing all over. What do I need for high-mount stop?

Not sure where MaX5 got his info...
(not sure what 949 is)
And once again
194 Replaces ........... 2825
I replaced the high mount brake with LED's once, it looked like crap so I went back to stock bulbs...

What looked bad about the LED high-mounts? I would think that not having LED if the tail lights are would make it all look bad due to the response time. Why didn't you like it?

I think it was the way they reflected inside the lens. They just weren't as bright as the stock ones. I was going to try different ones but since I got the spoiler, it's now gone...

Canada only, it's the law up there. All cars have to have them...
I looked where they would go and it's sealed off on the US version. I drilled it out and there was still something blocking the way. I've always wanted to get back in there and mess around but never did...

EVERYBODY...I understand the confusion because I'm there too. Between the fragments of information on this thread and from autolumination.com, I'm making a list that basically shows what you need to buy for what lights. They will fit, and they are the brightest for the application. I'll get it on here as soon as it's complete tonight.
