What size tires?

I'm thinking about getting 20"s for my 07. What size tires can I get without rubbing? I am lowered with Progress springs. The reason I'm asking is because the majority of the shops I've seen recommend 245/35/20, but I've also seen a couple that recommend 225/35/20. I'd like to go with 245 but just want to make sure there is no rubbing. Also, I've never had low profile tires before. How fragile are they? Have you guys had lots of flats? Should/can I go with 19" wheels on 40 series tires? Thanks.

Well, the width of the wheel is an important piece of info when deciding on a tire size.

Expect this to get moved:

With lower profile tires and lower suspension, expect to "feel" more of the road. As far as flats go, it really depends on how the roads are and how attentive you are while driving.

I would prefer to see you go with one of these:
245/40-19 will produce a .13% diameter difference
245/35-20 will produce a .26% diameter difference

The 225/35-20 (will work, but I still think the 245 is a better fit) will produce a 1.8% diameter change. As far as rubbing, I can't comment, since I don't have lower profiles because I don't like to feel every crack in the road.

Ride quality? Who cares? Without huge wheels, how will people know you're a "baller?"

I like this guy.

255/35/20 for me and there is little to no change in ride quality. And whatever you do don't listen to the folks that recommend 225/35/20.

Are you lowered too? Any rubbing issues?

nah im not lowered, but I think I hear some rubbing in the rear with a full load, nothing serious, It sounds like the back tires are rubbing against that carpet-like material in the rear wheelwell.

Hmm....I would likely rub with 255's then. Anyone lowered, on 20's with 245/35/20 tires? Do you guys rub?
