Brakes

All of a sudden my brakes are making this screeching sounds when I apply pressure to the brake-it almost sounds like the anti-lock brakes are trying to engage like they would when braking on ice/snow. But as soon as the brakes warm up after a little use the sound completely goes away. Is is just time for new brake pads or is there something more serious that needs to be taken care of asap? Let me know what you think.

Just for future reference for anyone else that may come across this, the problem was that the anti-lock brake sensors where dirty from months of winter weather. So there's the solution if anyone else needs it.
