Neighbor has one in his Dodge truck. Sounds semi-cool when he gets on it. Almost like a SC whine.

I really doubt it will add any more power, xcept maybe a tad more intake volume. However I'm more curious if it helps fuel econ..... I guess we find out next week

it creates turbulence in the air flow that more-efficiently burns the fuel. ive heard as well its supposoed to raise your mpg and give you some hp.

K, i dunno if this is right, but i checked my MPG and its said 30, then it went to 33 then back to 30.1 then to 34.

This is driving at 100kph, or 61mph for 85km.

If this is for real, i cant believe it.

the general premis is to increase the volume of air stored inside the manifold, thus raising hp. Same deal as the plenum spacer they make for the 350Z. the swirls are for better atomization of the air fuel mixture. It does work, unlike the tornado.

I'm pretty sure those are the Ace Precision TB spacers. They look identical

It could be true depending on other mods on the car. It also could make you run leaner.

IMO, if the engine had a carburator, giving a swirl action to the incoming air could (MythBuster episode 2134) improve atomization. Air/fuel mix going through sharp turns in the intake tend to separate, and reduce atomization. The swirl could reduce that effect.

But, on the VQ, any air disruption will most probably reduce the air flow. There is a reason those CAI have a smooth bend. The aluminum foil wrap was a much better investment IMO.
