NISMO Wheels and Motor Shield

Does anyone have the NISMO wheels for Maxima and have pics of it? I am strongly considering buying these but I want to see what it looks like first.

Also, I am thinking about customizing the motor shield under the hood for a little extra flare and am brainstorming for good ideas. What have some of you done with this?

Pix of either if you have them would be great!

Matt,

By 'motorshield' are you meaning more plastic moulding? If so, would you cover more/enough of your engine that you might be inhibiting air flow?

What exactly is a motorshield?
Just curious.

Nice Nismo wheels. The silver ones are ok but I think the Gunmetal are better looking.

Nice wheels you guys, hehe. Thats an old thread.

Many people have been PM me about these wheels so here is more info.
They are 19x8 and you would use 245/40/19 or 255/40/19 tires on a dropped car. There is plenty of choice for high performance summer tires and very few for all-seasons. I would also add here that 19" tires are more expensive than 20" tires.

They (rims) are not cheap ($1500-1600 per set), are lightweight and can be found on e-bay. There are 2 nissan dealers that list them every once in a while. When I was looking for a set I would just type 19" nismo in the search box. Be patient and you may get a set much cheaper. I actually won a set of barely used ones for $880 but the scumbag sold it locally before the auction was even over. I got a steal by bying a demo set from a dealer in IL and then selling the tires off of them.

Here are some not so recent pics for those who love them.

Thanks bro, yes, plus the term GUNMETAL as a color almost perfectly matches the Smoke color of the car.

"Yeah mine is the Smoke Maxima with the Gunmetal rims that wasnt driving to fast but flying too low"

What color do you all think looks better on a Blue Max, the silver or smoke? I'm leaning towards the smoke.

Xoomer do you have any more pics of the blue Max with the those wheels?

Search ebay for "nismo 19" there is this one dealership that lists a set every month or so. They normally go for about $1600 per set. Dealer has them for like $800 each.

They are by Rays Engineering. One piece forged. Very strong and light.

These are beautiful, if I hadn't bought different rims about 2 months ago I would jump all over these! Still considering doing it, wifey would kill me, but death isn't soooo bad right?!?!?!

Check this price out...
