Yes.http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=478519

I love mine (though I do not have a 6th gen)

I did mine myself. With an FSM, it's a piece of cake.

Will i feel any gains w/ just my cai/exhaust and soon to have Y pipe?
Depending on how bad your AFR is off now.

Thanks guys...

p.s. group buy for these????
Look into the NEO. Or, if you are short on cash get the VAFCII or SAFCII

In a nutshell and for your purposes....

VAFCII = 1 map, 24 points
SAFCII = 2 Maps, 12 points each
NEO = 16 points, possible more.

I have the APEXi Super AFC-II and absolutely love it, If I had a choice now, I would definitely invest in the APEXI NEO, nothing wrong with a box that can do it all...

I have mine installed in front of my NAVI DVD drive...

If you MUST mod, You must TUNE!!!

not if you know you're doing and have mens of monitoring certain parameters. If you don't know what I'm talking about, steer clear and this is not for you until you get more experience w/these cars and their related electronics.

No not yet, an APEX will provide almost all of the benefits of an ECU reflash with the exception of opening up the top end and adjusting the rev limiter, I do plan on getting an ECU relash but not before I get my ride dyno tuned again and can provide the current run files to T/S. The advantage of a tuning computer over a reflash is the continued tuning ability that a T/S reflash does not afford...

To add to that....
TS alters cam timing & ignition timing over the SAFC.

The SAFC can help alter ignition timing, but most if not all wont ever try it like some have.

I would honestly recommend a dyno tuning shop does it, so many variables that could potentially damage your engine if no tuned correctly...

My STRONG suggestion would be to get any data logging software so that you can monitor your already installed wideband 02 sensors, therefore you can tune on your own.

How many times do i have to post this

Gains depend on your current AFR

Seems like a good deal for the NEO.

Honestly man,
It's been so long since my Max was stock I forgot how it felt. IMO, none of the mods will give you that wow effect.

Matter of fact, the greatest increase in performance is felt everytime I remove my 12inch sub and spare from the trunk. Instant better handling and acceleration.

So who's going to be the first to out their MAF sensor into a larger housing and tune it using one of these piggybacks as well as getting a wideband bunged into your exhaust before the cat? Any takers? You 05+ people dont even need to worry about the wb.

I'm 120% sure you guys have a better market for larger sensor housings since you have the same sensor as the Z33/V35 crowd.

I've been asking the same question for a while now, ut maybe this will finlly get answred.

What is the ID of the AEM / Fujita / Nismo MAF housings? IIRC, the EM & Fujita both have the sensor integrated into the system, smrt, yes, but what's the ID difference between them and the stock unit? This will directly affect performance and AFR. 2 items that are very important when trying to maximize HP. I read somewhere that the Nismo is 2.75" (nono: same as stock ) But am also not clear if it replaced the MAF housing, I don't think it does from the pics I've seen but

Something to think about.
