How much can I get?

So I'm thinking of having a midlife crisis and selling my car to upgrade. What do you guys think I can get for it. If I lose my @$$ then I won't do it. I have a 2006 SL with DPP, Roof, Splash guards, Bluetooth, and trunk mat. I have the car cover, bra and the following upgrades: Progress suspension with KYB GR2's, RSB, endlinks, FSTB, Active Tuning Grill, Fujita, CE Y-pipe and Ipod adaptor. All stock parts would be included as well. Car is smoke, auto with 13k on it. Properly broken in running Amsoil TSO and filters.

What would be a reasonable return?

Low 20s. Most definitely. Mods won't make a damn bit of difference, unless you find someone who desires them. Chances are that they'll discourage more buyers than they'll attract.

My thoughts exactly. Put it back to bone stock and sell your aftermarket parts to minimize your losses.

Part out what you can here to recoup some $. Prcjt is right, $23-25k if you sell, maybe $20k if trade.

I don't know, I think I'm just f'ing with myself again. I go man it would be nice to have a G35 but than I go wait, the new G37 is coming out and that motor is a lot cooler than the new 3.5 because of the VVEL etc....So in the end I guess I'm just never satisfied and probably never will be. Plus I try and justify it by saying I won't want to mod it so the money I'm not wasting can go towards higher payments. HAH, how long would that last. I'm calling to get my pay off tomorrow so we'll see how far I have to go.

Wanna add 300 cars to your garage overnight? Go pick up a XBox 360, wireless steering wheel, and wait for Forzamotorsport 2 to come out.

plus one on making it stock and selling parts separately to make extra $$$.

Lots of folks are leery to buying a nearly new car that is modified. (90% will not ask but think that mods void warraties)

Funny how the G8 has rear lights and rim design is stolen from the ALTI

Not only that the G8 will probably be over 4000lbs and an inefficient gas guzzler. But I like the idea.

I was not a fan of the latest GTO and although it's not a good comparison I would wait to see what the G8 brings to the table. Either way that wouldn't be what I'm looking for. After some quick research it seems my monthly would be almost three times higher and I don't think I can justify that without using imaginary numbers. Do those translate to reality?

the GTO is 3700 ... and that's pretty heavy.. I doubt the G8 will be heavier.. and I'm guessing it'll get similar gas mileage to our cars... maybe a mpg or two below us... besides, if it's gas you're worried about, there's lots of hybrid's out there now.
