Spoiler

What spoiler options are available for an 04 Maxima? Also, are there any instructions online on how to install it?

G-35 spoiler, 07 spoiler, WRX, Ebay has some as well. Scroll through and look for some "some spoiler" installed threads as well.

For the 07 spoiler, I just called the local nissan dealership and they said that I would not be able to match the paint for the 04 maxima to the 07 spoiler? The 07 silver is different than the 04 maxima.

Yeah the Silver is different for '07 but don't go to the stealership!!
I got mine from here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2004-...spagenameZWDVW

I had my buddy at the dealer put it on and he said he thought it was OEM...

No, it does not currently have a spoiler on it now! Also, how would you install the brake light that the 07 spoiler has?

Elimackman,
I just purchased (a week or so ago) an 07 spoiler from Ebay for about $120.
A quality body shop will be removing the current lip, patching up the holes left by the 04-06 lip, installing the 07 spoiler and repainting the trunk lid, all for $400.
Not bad. I think.

Why are you repainting the trunk? And was the spoiler you purchased just primed?

I have no choice. I have to repaint the trunk lid because when they remove the 04-06 lip there will be three holes that the 07 spoiler won't cover...

You though, are in much better situation because since you don't have a spoiler currently, all you have to do is buy an already painted spoiler and slap it on!

Check this out... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2004-...spagenameZWDVW.

You can splice into your brake wires, or perhaps there is an unused harness waiting under your trunk lid panel.

If I can ask, how hard was it to remove the brake light in the window after installing the spoiler. Is it something I can do myself, or should I have a bodyshop/dealer do it?

When you remove it does it leave a large hole or is there some sort of plastic that will be placed there instead?

How much should I expect to pay to have it installed?

Its not hard at all. I did it and I think there is a thread on how to do it. It does leave a large opening, but in 07+ NIssan made a cover plate and slips right in there.

I just got the '07 installed on my '04 two days ago- took 2 hours to make the template and drill through the metal covering where the holes go through but it came out mint. The e-bay one is the way to go! Just spliced the brake light and wallah, done.

Installation is pretty difficult. I had mine done and it took some time to get it done.

does that mean an aftermarket g-35 wing would fit on a 04 max?
