KYB GR2 + Progress ?

For those of you who have this setup and can vaguely remember the difference from the stock setup, please let me know. I'm about to pull the trigger on this and want to make sure I'm buying something that's going to improve the s**t that Nissan calls a suspension. I'm not necessarily looking for a rougher ride but I'm still convinced that it shouldn't feel like it does now. Too much chassis vibration and harshness over slightly abnormal bumps is my problem and I'm not sure if swapping the suspension altogether will fix it.

Seeing as tho your suspension is unusually rough over bumps I'd start there. Something is wrong. Fix the bad ride quality first. Factory suspension should be relatively smooth. Compare it to another Maxima. It's the handling and looks-why people are going to progress + GR2's...not improved ride quality. Without a doubt, GR2's will worsen the ride quality.

Now it could be as simple as bad struts. But make sure all of your suspension parts including bushings are in good shape. Check your front end alignment. Check your air pressure. Should be 32PSI at cold. Maybe your tires are lousy.

Best of luck. Just be sure to make sure she is smooth riding before you start your Mods.

coolmas is right on the money here. If you value ride quality these are NOT the way to go. With our lovely paved roads here in NJ/NY you will not like them.

Have your stock setup checked.
