Cocky friend

My buddy just got his hands on an 04 Accord V6 6-spd. Feels he should have absolutely no problem 'ing me from 0-120. Is he right?

It would help a bunch if we knew what you drove.

5.5th Gen 6spd with bolt ons you'd win...

give some info on your car such as at or mt? mods? his car will do the 1/4 in around 14.5 if its stock...dont forget VTEC. I dont know when it kicks in for his car (5200rpm was it kicked in my old prelude) but if he stays in VTEC range throughout the whole race he would take you pretty bad. Not sure of the weight of those things but they are pretty quick...would be a nice race

I think I remember I taking one in my old 94 SE maxima back in 2005. The 2004s are kinda bubble shaped right?

Buy a turbo 240 and make sure you win, haha.

I test drove an 04 Accord 6 speed V6 coupe right before I bought my Maxima. I think those have 240 hp, but I think they are lighter. My guess is that he might edge you since you're an automatic. I liked the car very very much, but it was too small for my purposes (3 teenage kids).

Where could you run 0-120 at? Kinda tough to find a place. Even at 1/4mile neither of you would break 100mph.

If he is a 5sp Auto, not to much to mess up on this Maxima side. the 6spd manual is the guy who has to drive perfect.

Let us know how it turns out.

Again, if you don't have anything worth contributing, just keep your mouth closed. You do not have to respond to EVERY post on this forum.

i beg to differ w/ u .... you are right there is LESSS to mess up but u still can...

if he just mashes the gas down he will burnout...

yuo need to be able to react well... be able to powebreak it at 2500 rpms... etc...

there are still factors that come into play ...even when u have an auto...
