HELP! Code: P1402
HELP! Code: P1402
my '04 SL with 109k miles has been good to me....until today.
My check engine light came on, so I decided to stop by at Autozone to have it scanned. The scanner showed the code P1402. I followed the worker back inside and he prints out a long list of possible issues. (WTF?! I was hoping I'd get one or two issues but didn't expect it to be 8!) Here is what the printout states:
Troubleshooting P1402
Definition: DMTL Motor - Power stage fault
Probable Causes:
1- Open or short circuit condition
2- Poor electrical connection
3- Faulty DMTL - Module faulty
------------------------------------------------
Troubleshooting P1402
Definition: Heated catalyst power switch over temperature condition (Bank 1)
-------------------------------------------------
Troubleshooting P1402
Definition: EGR System

Probable Causes:
1-Open of short circuit condition
2-Poor electircal condition
3-Failed fuel level sensor
-------------------------------------------------
Troubleshooting P1402
Definition: EGR Vacuum regulator solenoid valve short to positive
Explanation: Open or short curcuit condition
Probable Causes:
1-Failed EGR vacuum regulator solenoid valve
I don't have access to a scanner or a camera at this time so I had to type up exactly how the print out looks like. I am hoping someone can chime in and give me few tips. I have no clue where to start. Thanks in advance

P1402 _EGR Valve.
Had work performed on my max about 3 weeks ago for this same code.
Good case scenario - - > replace the EGR valve
Bad case scenario - - > replace the EGR valve and both cats.
Here is the TSB
