One Crazy Max,

I see you mean business; black on black, 6spd. Please choose the right wheels when it's time.

dont worry i will choose the correct wheels when the time comes, im very picky when it comes to rim choice, size, and color and all that. right now i have the 08 Coupe SE 17" Wheels. my uncle has the coupe so we traded rims. ill tell you this much, it looks a whole lot better now. and i see you have an altima from forza 2 in your sig.

and your damn right i mean business, didnt want to make the mistake and get the boring CVT tranny, sorry current or future CVT owners, its just no fun with a shiftless/gearless transmission. 6Spd FTW!!

but those are from the HR, the motor in my car is labeled VQ35DE. i know its a new gen, but does it really share some of the same parts as the HR...if so, then this motor should be able to rev to 7k+ rpm without any problems. im sorry if im not understanding something here, but there are things that confuse me here. do you mind going into detail?

thanks for the compliments man, and im still looking to hit some better times with this car. next track day will be in october.

oh and the chrome accents definately gotta go. the window surround will most likely be painted black, and i might do something cool with the grille and also the chrome strip on the back. and when im ready to paint or buy new rims they will either be bronze or a titanium greyish color.

That obviously depends on the parts shared. Rod bolts would be a weak point for revving. The HR revs higher than 7k. But yes, you should be able to do 7k without a problem. I do it every day (7100) in my older than your gen VQ35DE.

The P/N is the same for HR heads and the 07 Altima heads, that's reason enough for me.

wow! thats whats up. so that means these heads flow alot better than the older VQ35's, since the HR uses them too. i guess this means i will be making alot more power up top than others =]

thanks for the info dude, now i somewhat know the differences and similarities. i will take time to read this later, right now i gotta leave this house.

I'd be careful using the word a lot.

I don’t know exactly how much more but yes. I’ve seen a dyno for your engine and it does have some nice top end power. That can be attributed to many things than JUST the heads though.

You sated 'a lot' more flow with respect to the HR heads. Nothing's been definitively proven, so until then, it's false presentation. BUT, I will admit, they do flow more, how much more, I do not know... IMO, I'd like to have HR heads myself.

Yup and just a side note,

If you buy the Altima in the game, throw on a full exhaust I/H/E it will sound VERY similar to the real thing. I was impressed.

I am going to get an hybrid before I get a CVT.
Most hybrids DO have CVT's.

I'm betting you can get heated steering wheel (its practically std equip in even civics now).
You gotta be kidding. That feature is very hard to find as far as I know. It's usually only found on high-level trims of luxo-makers like AUDI. The Maxima is a real anomaly in that regard and IMO it's one of the most invaluable features.

If someone knows differently, please share what vehicles in the <$36K range (or any) offer it.

Agreed. My husband bought a newer (06) Civic and it didn't come with a heated steering wheel.

I drive the new altimas everyday (although its the 2.5 4 cylinder not 3.5 L) and get to drive the new Max's occasionally too at my work. I would personally take the Max over the Altima. In my opinion its a nicer car than the Altima is and its def a more comfortable ride. The max has a nicer interior and has more room than the Altima does. But test drive them both and see what you think.

LMAO a civic? Umm, that is about 10 classes below a Maxima. In fact, a civic and Maxima really shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence.

A civic and Sentra may be comparible. And you won't find a heated steering wheel in either. C'mon...

Hahahahaaaa, I love the look of the new Alti (I really do) but within the last 3 months (yes I'm modded) but I have absolutely smoked the new Alti's. Something about the look that people get a false sense of ***** to back it up!!!

Hey Chern, do you have a list of all your current upgrades/updates? I'm mostly interested if you are running the Cattman y-pipe but for the sake of bugging you incessantly curious if you can just lay it all out for us LOL. Other than the TOP SECRET (I'd have to kill you if I told you) type stuff of course.
