Rust warranty

MY car is kinda rusty a little bi here or there, It's 2004 with 89K miles. I just saw that nissan offers 5yr/unlimited miles rust warranty. My car came from upstate NY where there is a lot of salt on the roads during winter time, so it kinda rusty.

I was wondering how Nissan warranties the rust and how they fix it? Has anyone tried it yet?

Thanks

I have the same rust spot starting there. How long ago did you have it fixed? I have the car for over four years and 32,000 miles.

***For everyone with the "normal" sun-roof***

Take the wind deflector off and notice where the metal brackets held it on. Take them off and there will most likely be some rust there, so you should just clean it off and touch it up before it spreads.
