rocking back and forth at a full stop

I noticed the 6gen has a rocking motion when you come to a stop no matter how hard you slam on the brakes. WHY DOES IT DO THIS?!? i absolutely hate it..i liked my other maximas that just stopped...and didnt roll back and forth a few cms before completely stopping..or up and down i dont know, you all expierence this right?the only other car ive ever felt do this is a bmw x5.(< ?) im confused why though. parking brake has same effect. rolls a few cm's before it stops it. again, older maximas and most other cars dont do this.

Funny you mention this. My GF mentioned this as well with my brand new 07. I didn't notice, but she did. Occurs right after you come to a complete stop.

My 96 max used to do that as well when stopping even with new gr2's. It just depends on how much pressure you are putting on the brakes. If you know how to play with the brake pedal it shouldn't happened.

Hmm that's odd ... I've owned a '96 altima, '97 passat, '95 grand cherokee, '04 grand cherokee and my '04 Maxima and I think the Maxima has the least amount of the seesaw feeling. There's a term for it I just don't remember and when the Maxima was sold to me the salesman used it. I also think the stock suspension is so bad Nissan needs to recall it. I'm on my 3rd set of struts and when I hit bumps the front of my car goes bananas and the rear hops all over the road.
